From an post I spotted on a certain leftist website:
snip
I learned this morning that tomorrow morning's edition of the Cleveland Plain Dealer will endorse George Bush for a second four-year term. What makes this particularly disgraceful and quite terrifying is that the seven-member editorial board of the PD voted 5-2 to endorse John Kerry. The publisher overruled them and announced the paper would support Bush. Similarly, the Lorain Journal editors were told that either they endorse George Bush or they endorse no one. So, they are endorsing no one.
Strong stuff.
The publisher owns the newspaper; the editors are his hired hands who can be fired, generally, at will. The endorsement of a newspaper is really the endorsement of the publisher as it is the publisher who is responsible for the content of the newspaper, not the editors.

Those tin-foilers on the left are more paranoid than we are so I'll take this with a grain of salt.
Headlines you'll never see in Cleveland
Browns win the SuperBowl
Indians win the World Series
PD endorses Bush or any Republican
nice dream though
Sometimes autocracy can be a good thing.
We shall see.
lol I'll place my money on the Browns
The PD endorsed Bush in 2000
Browns were NFL champs often from 1950-1964.
Indians were in World Series twice last decade, and should have won in 1997.
Cavaliers have the best player in the NBA.
We can always hope and pray!!!
Not just in big game they have to win it
>>Almost a vanity? Probably. But if the Cleveland Plain Dealer endorses Bush, it would be a shock to metro Cleveland.<<
This is minor heart attack time. The Plain Dealer?!? NO way!
I'll be smiling a lot!
FYI..look for Mort Zuckerman's NY Daily News to endorse Bush...a HUGE surprise..
I don't get it - I thought you were a Bush supporter. What so despicable about it.. Hey we gotta take em where we can.
That's an intelligent and admirable publisher.

I was in labor when the Tribe was playing the World Series then. They left it on the tv in my labor room.
No one paid an ounce of attention to me.
This would be wonderful. Keep us posted.
Forget metro Cleveland... it would be a shock to me!
