Jesse Ventura endorses Kerry Updated: 10/22/2004 06:00:30 PM - VIDEO
ST. PAUL - Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura has officially endorsed Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry.
The announcement was made during a 30-minute news conference at the State Office Building. The former Minnesota Governor was there, but did not make any comments.
Just days ago, Ventura had said that he did not plan to support Kerry or President Bush this election year.
Also at the news conference was former Maine Gov. Angus King, who was the only other third-party governor during Ventura's years in office. He said Ventura changed his mind and decided to endorse Kerry.
Organizers didn't even know Ventura was going to show up until the news conference started. He told reporters who followed him out to his car afterward that he'll be doing interviews in Los Angeles.

He's a libertarian whack-job...pretty easy to figure out.
That's OK. I've heard Sargent Slaughter endorses President Bush.
Little Johnny Edwards as a "rastlin pardner"?
This just cements his allegiance to the cause
He was an idiot then, and now.
Semper Fi
Incompetence endorsing insufference--like the pot calling the kettle "black", what's wrong with this picture? Nothing, if you're a Democrat.
Some media reporting the truth. Ventura just stood there and never said a single word. Just pointed to the guy who made the announcement and left.
Just what I was thinking. What's ol' Jesse getting in return?
Ventura the moron.
A former Navy Seal endorsing Kerry
Ventura must have landed on his head in the ring too many times
Sorry I don't know how to post a photo but go to "www.kstp.com" to see Jesse's photo, which one of the radio stations described as his "street person attire." I love the braided beard. This guy is nuts, always has been.
Jesse's a libertarian?
Only a communitarian whack-job could claim that ... pretty easy to figure out.
Ventura is irrelevant. Period.
Umm.. Yes. There "Are really are," as a person of your obvious intellectual pedigree might put it.
A person of a slightly higher (no offense) intellectual pedigree, might look into why Mr. Ventura chose not to seek re-election, and why his successor is Republican, and why the Republican he defeated for the governorship now sits in the U. S. Senate.
This does sound really wierd.
The former Minnesota Governor was there, but did not make any comments.
When has Ventura every been shy about talking to the camera?
This dumb ass move, endorcing the lying, traitorous bastard Kerry, put Jesse back in his "Hollywood" crowd...
Jesse put politics ahead of National Security...
Semper Fi
