A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Happy Friday! This time next week I will be in Atlanta chit-chatting with old friends and wondering what y'all are up to!
Just have to save my pennies for a laptop so that I can at least browse when I'm not at home!

I'm just getting home. Fridays are my day to provide child care for a mom's group at the Baptist church in Portland. Then I had to go grocery shopping.
Dixie, say hi to Atlanta for me! I'll start getting homesick for it long about January, depending on how cold our winter is! This will be my 4th Maine winter, so it's getting easier!
I've still got to put the groceries away, but then I'll be back.

Lol, hopefully I'll get to the Varsity and have a burger or hot dog. Some of these people I haven't seen since we graduated in 1964. I'm hoping that someone will have pictures from the senior class play - I got the lead - Cornelius Otis Skinner - what fun. All the pictures and my year book were destroyed. The drama coach had filmed the play and maybe I'll luck up and find someone who has a copy and put it on CD for me.
I did my grocery shopping at 5:30/6:00 this morning and am trying to be really good and stay away from the ice cream - Moose Tracks are calling!

Oh Pippin, I hope so! He is a liar and a traitor and if it hadn't been for Teddy Kennedy, he wouldn't be in the Senate today.

If we have the party early will he go away sooner?

The Varsity was always my favorite place to go for a treat. A frosted orange, slaw dog or glorified burger, and onion rings...yummmmmmmm.
I HATE 50 pound bags of dog food!! I couldn't bring myself to buy the 20 lb. bag when the 50 lb. bag was only 3 dollars more...but now the dogs are eating it off the floor because I couldn't lift it to pour it into the storage bin. Guess I'll be feeding the mice again!
That's one of the chores that was hubby's, and I still haven't quite perfected!
If Moose Tracks are calling your name, and you don't want to eat it, may I ask why you bought it?
I hope you are able to recover some of the things from your high school memories. But in case you can't, remember that the memories are still there, and you can still share them with others through stories.

Good morning, Billie. I agree with my 'sistahs' that the pledge is beautiful. I must admit to tearing up a bit when I saw it. Hi, Texagirl - thank you. It's kind of an awesome picture, isn't it?
Mr. B and I voted Monday afternoon, and our wait in line was about 20 minutes. Worth every minute of it to check that Straight Republican ticket though. Hope we have some major gains to help our Republican President in his second term. :)
