Off topic, but I'm into your third on the series and if we aren't careful we will have many of those same scenarios. Almost like reading history before the fact.

There is only enough there to kill 1,000,000 people. It's only a nuisance.

I've seen things too. Can't really go into detail (because I'm
not anonymous), but I don't understand why this isn't coming out. We're all baffled about it on the base where I'm posted.
Stuff is being kept quiet.

Working with the light, contrast, sharpness and then making them a negative image...here's the best I could do:

That's right regarding Iraq IMHO...but there is a dual use.

Are the pictures that are posted here the same kinds of containers and chemicals that you saw? Maybe this is the GOP Halloween Surprise!!

The American authorities in Iraq were contacted by the freeper there. He asked that I post them here. I have done so. Simple as that. If you feel there is no value in the thread...the options are pretty straight forward.

Except that I happen to know the freeper who sent them and he did take them in Iraq as advertised. Exactly what they mean is up for grabs...but they were taken there.

I have wondered the same thing. If Saddam Hussein was being so deceitful with the Oil for Food Program, does anybody really think he would "do the right thing" when it came to weapons? He lived in a world were he though he was invincible to outside forces.

..and they certainly are what you might call a dual use technology. True enough, and therein lies the rub. Even household chemicals in proper combinations can be troublesome. Maybe they were using the DMS in its fabric softening capability ;^)
The quantities along with their apparent ownership(Ministry of Defense) might be pointing to something untoward, but it's a tough call IMO. Do we know if this stuff was more or less hidden or was if found in some old warehouse with a bunch of other "stuff"?

"Stuff is being kept quiet."
I can only guess, these liberals sure are hell bent on making Iraq a personal mission of the President and not part of this war against terrorists. The liberals have access to "intel" could be that the hunt is still on and by making their accusations are trying to force the President to expose what is going on before the "mission" is completed.

The pointers, indicators and historical precedence are there for anyone to see. I just wrote a fictional story around it.
Hope you are liking them...spread the word, word of mouth is my best friend as respects the series.

No slap in the face intended. It's just suspicious to see barrels and boxes with chemical names on them without the support of background pictures showing that it was taken in Iraq, but now that a military personell has confirmed this article, it is something that Bush should take advantage of and as I said before, it may be a Halloween Surprise!
To: Jeff Head
So, just what is the A.S. directorate I wonder?

That's why I indidcated the part about the dual use. I don't know if their inductry/market was advanced enough to produce the other, household chemicals. My own guess would be no...but I don't know.
I do know that they can be used as weapons...I do know he used such weapons against his own people and the Iranians. He (Saddam) had a clear history in that regard.
As to whether the quantities, quality and state of this stuff warranted calling it a smoking gun...I can't say. Apparently our people thought not. But there was quite a bit of this type stuff found and it does have a dangerous military application.

If you feel there is no value in the thread...the options are pretty straight forward. I'm saying that I cannot judge what's in those barrels, and nobody else reading this thread can. If you think that the military might read this thread, then I would suggest there may be more "straightforward" ways of getting this information to it.

I do not know...but am trying to find out.

"You notice the white lettering on the barrel in the first pic, the chemical name and then the letters "UN". Ill bet those barrels were found during the first inspections just after Gulf War 1,.."
No the UN 1595 is part of a classification system for hazardous chemecals.
