Clinton Appointee Judge Rules that PA does not have to send correct absentee ballots to military.
The Philidelphia Inquirer ^

Posted on 10/21/2004 8:28:16 AM PDT by sportutegrl

Some of those overseas voters, including soldiers serving in Iraq, are now being asked to pick from an incorrect slate of presidential candidates. And, as a result, they are being deprived of the same options given to voters at home, Justice Department lawyer Amy Zubrensky argued.

They "have the right to correct ballots," she said.

Philadelphia lawyer Mark Aronchick, a special election-law expert hired by the Rendell administration, called the number (of military voters) "a theoretically tiny universe of people."

"a theoretically tiny universe of people."Now this really pi$$es me off. I am sure that the contingent of Pa. troops are "tiny" when compared to Pa.'s overall population, but they are the one's with their asses on the line and their vote, more than anyone elses, should be the ones that get counted first.

Bush only did a barely-decent job of addressing the matter of judges. He really could have busted Kerry on this, but he went for a single instead of a homerun.

How do you stop the judge?

Go to a higher court, probably a federal judge to over turn his ruling

Kerry and his ilk turned their backs on the troops before in Nam .. and do it again in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere..

No big surprise here.

Time to clean out the courts and send activist judges packing.

"a theoretically tiny universe of people."

This comment brought to you by the "let every vote count" crowd.

What losers they are.

When it comes to electing the Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States and getting ballots correct for those that give their lives to protect our very rights the Democrats believe that the military is a

"a theoretically tiny universe of people."

It is a sad day when the Kerry camp endorses such a stand.

I would suggest that PA create this ballot:

Bush
Kerry
Other: please specify a name

If they want Nader, they can write it in.

If the military is 'theoretically tiny', then what is this ONE JUDGE WHO MADE THE RULING.

incredible

Bush has to bring this to the publics attention and tell them this is the kind of judges he will not appoint.

That is a campaign commercial begging to happen.

The way I read this, the ballots that have already been mailed, WILL BE COUNTED. Ralph Nadar votes will be counted as write ins. Seems to me that it may be to OUR advantage to go with the ones already in the hands of the troops. They're going to vote for the President, regardless of whether Nadars on the ballot. Am I reading this wrong?

I know...I was under the impression this was a county ballot. If it is statewide, then I stand corrected.

Can you say 'impeached judge?'

We can sure SAY it, but can we DO it?

How difficult is to impeach a judge, and why hasn't it been done yet? /furstration!
