Clinton Appointee Judge Rules that PA does not have to send correct absentee ballots to military.
The Philidelphia Inquirer ^

Some of those overseas voters, including soldiers serving in Iraq, are now being asked to pick from an incorrect slate of presidential candidates. And, as a result, they are being deprived of the same options given to voters at home, Justice Department lawyer Amy Zubrensky argued.

They "have the right to correct ballots," she said.

Philadelphia lawyer Mark Aronchick, a special election-law expert hired by the Rendell administration, called the number (of military voters) "a theoretically tiny universe of people."

Bush has to bring this to the public's attention and tell them this is the kind of judges he will not appoint.

Kerry and the Democrats support our troops. They just want them to vote.

Actual headline:

Election offices don't have to send new ballots abroad

Now, as to the content:

Philadelphia lawyer Mark Aronchick, a special election-law expert hired by the Rendell administration, called the number "a theoretically tiny universe of people."

So much for "count every vote" (as if I ever believed that crock).

Ping!

In a hotly contested county in a hotly contested state, several hundred votes won't make a difference?

Yeah, right - and cats play the fiddle, forks and spoons run off, and cows can jump over the moon.

I know we must excerpt this, but you excerpted out a critical bit:

Justice Department lawyers had asked U.S. District Judge Yvette Kane to impose such fixes to the unusual ballot dilemma caused by independent candidate Ralph Nader's on-again, off-again status as a presidential candidate in Pennsylvania.

Wait,.. Nader is on the incorrect ballot.. That would help us wouldn't it? Anyone who votes for him wouldn't have a vote.

I'm not entirely sure what's going on since I'm not in PA anymore, but my sister (studying abroad) recieved her absentee ballot yesterday from PA. I assume it's got Nader's name on it. Anyone know if it'll get counted?

What about counting every vote? Oh yeah, this only applies to Kerry votes.

I wonder if this guy is a Dem?

Can you say disenfranchised voter?

Can you say 'impeached judge?'

While this is infuriating and a judge that rules like this should be impeached, isn't there a write in opition on ballots?

I'm wondering that too... or would a ballot submitted with a choice for Nader disqualify the entire ballot because it was incorrect?

They havent been sent out yet.

How typical!

Fortunately, the military has been handing out federally approved generic ballots to those who need them.

As far as I know, these ballots are supposed to be acceptable, but they do not include local issues, just the federal slate.

I suspect the RATS will attack the legitimacy of these as well. They are shameless and a dangerous presence in this country and I hope the public will get fed up with these tactics once and for all time.

Todays DNC needs to be slapped down for the Fascist's that they are.
