What Are You Doing To Calm Your Nerves?

With the talk about voter fraud, the fact that Kerry will declare "an early victory," and the fact that Kerry will contest no matter if Bush wins, I am getting stressed out. Each poll is like a roller coaster. What are you guys doing when you need to take break from this madnesss?

does she think Kerry is going to cover one of her shifts for her if he's elected?

never underestimate the cluelessness.....their ignorance knows no bounds.

Drinking and espresso martinis and watching South Park helps me =;-)

I'm an Ohio country gal, so I go with a couple cans of good ole Bud Light on occasion.

As for TV, Leave It To Beaver and Andy Griffith reruns on TVLand help me tune out the nonsense that is going on in our world today, and takes me back to a more innocent time. Too bad they're not still running Mister Ed reruns, that would be good comic fodder since he reminds me so much of Kerry.

Apologies to the late Mister Ed for the comparison.

My mantra is this quote from Patrick Henry:

"There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations."

Planning to read Ps. 2 & 3 as they were helpful to me during the recount of 2000.

Not really. I pray for Kerry all the time. I also pray for Osama bin Laden. I pray that they are bestowed with one of God's greatest gifts: a conscience that won't quit.

Well, I know you'll have lots and lots more of material from FrankenKerry to make "Fresh Meat" out of. B-) B-P Still though, I'm praying for a Bush victory, for me, there is no other options.

WD-40 on 7.62 rounds smells good. The strapping tape on the loaders ads a flowery smell.

I was watching Fox and it was after four so it had to be ''THE FOX REPORT'' with SHEPARD SMITH. Also maybe you could try a search on the fox tv web site. I thought I heard it wrong, I was so astounded, and was on my computer so I turned around to look at the tv and Nope I heard it right. Thats what theyre promising them . but of course its a scam to get them down early to vote for Kerry.Once they vote they tell them they are out of the shots. UNBELIEVABLE!

I remember every day the beautiful faces of our military - fine young men and women in harm's way - the best of us fighting in the worst places. Their bravery is what it is all about, not the rantings of some liberal Democrat threatening to pollute this election and take away the Presidency from someone who honors our brave men and women.

I remember and honor young Matthew who just got to Iraq in September (he is in the Army), was wounded last Friday in a car bombing, and is now in a hospital in Germany fighting for his life. Thinking of this sad event does not lift my spirits but his patriotism and bravery and that of all of his fellow soldiers enriches our souls.

I thank my dear friends here at FR who immediately responded to my sadness at his grave condition ( He is related to my daughter's fiancee and is badly wounded)

I run to FR because I have not found such dear, kind, smart, compassionate and witty people anywhere. You folks are an oasis.

Oh yes, I loved Mr. Ed!!

Don't have digital cable so we don't get TV Land. Really miss those old shows!!

One of the funnest things I remember on TV was Bill Murry on SNL interviewing "Mrs. Ed" right after Mr. Ed's demise. The horse was acting up and Bill just ad libbed, totally straight faced, "It's the one with the red light. Mrs. Ed". I couldn't stop laughing.

Maybe it's time to rent a bunch of old comedies and not tune back into "real" TV until sometime in mid-November.

Have thoroughly enjoyed this thred. But can I ask a serious question? If it becomes apparent that Kerry and his lawyers and halloween coalition are going to steal the election, what is to be done? It will mean literally a cou-de-ta....just as surely as if the tanks rolled up on the white house lawn and extricated President Bush. No different that when the Soviets rolled into Poland. The order of the day will be who has the military power. What do citizens who followed the rules do then? Will the electoral college which meets in late December have the nerve to correct the situation? Will Congress have the nut sac to intervene? Will the supreme court again step up? But what does a citizen, after he followed all the rules, do when his government is overthrown? It almost happened in 2000. That was a dry run. Now they think they have worked out the bugs as to how to steal a federal election. This is no laughing matter. What will America loving Americans do? We get a little silly at the thought of the unthinkable, but I believe this year it may well happen. Please don't tell me I am a newbie or trying to bum everyone out. I am as serious as I can be.

I have been praying awfully hard.

The thing that worries me the most is the US through the machinations of the scum loving liberals have done their level best to force the US out of fidelity with the Lord.

I saw on FoxNews tonight that Kerry is going to declare himself the winner in a close race. Is he just going to get away with doing that like he declared himself the winner of all 3 debates? I don't get it. Wheres the outrage? The media acts like thats perfectly normal behavior. Oh God I need a valium!

Oh, I'm praying for a Bush victory in my heart of hearts. : )

And now that you mention it, the best fodder for 4 more years of tasty Fresh Meat would be a Bush victory following by 30 more Republicans in the House and 10 more in the Senate. Then I'd have a blast cranking out parodies of the Leftists giving birth to broken glass! : )
