If the Sox pull out a game 7 victory and the Stros win game 6 this will be the first time two teams from the presidential canidates will meet in the series. In the end I think it's the astros that are due(maybe cause I am from texas...but hey why not). Regardless the best part is the Sox Vs. Yankees have taken over attention up north and a world series of the Stros and Sox's will continue it to have kerry twidling his thumbs watching his dog show because as we all know he's no fan of baseball.

What a pile! Baseball and the war on terror have nothing in common.
There is no "momentum," especially when the Red Sox get their asses handed to them by the Cardinals.
This is not the world series. It's the league championship and it's not over yet.

How stupid do people think the voters are? A Baseball team's win will ensure a Presidential election??? There is no causal link between the two! One cannot cause or affect the other, because there is no commonality other than the candidate and the team being from the same state. That does not establish a causal link, nor can it. A Red Sox win cannot "cause" Kerry to be elected.
If you believe that it does, then it must also follow that a Red Sox loss will "cause" Bush to be elected, by "causing" Kerry to lose. There is even less of a connection between Bush and Boston. Yet you would argue, by inference, that the Red Sox losing would hand the election to Bush, hence "causing" it.
Illogical in the extreme!
