have to contend with voters who can't even make it to the right precinct, let alone the right booth.

It's really unbelievable isn't it?

"During early voting Monday morning at the Duval County Supervisor of Elections Office, Leslie Goller (left) attorney for the Duval County Demoratic Party, tells Congresswoman Corrine Brown that she needs to switch from the touch screen voting to the paper ballot in case of a recount.

Brown switched."

Interesting. So dems have kicked and fussed to have the touch screens, but not for THEM. Proof that it's all about creating chaos and perception of mishandling from the very beginning.

I'm a firm believer in paper trails and the optical scanners. And everything is being done to break the system down before we even get to election day.

Thanks for posting this, tut.

bare truth ping to # 24 & 44.

Stafford has been under more pressure for nothing than Theresa LaPore EVER got from her county after 2000 election (she's still in).

President Bush coming to Jacksonville

President George Bush will be in Jacksonville for a rally Saturday, according to the county's top Republican leader. Plans are still being finalized, but Bush plans a daytime rally at The Jacksonville Landing, according to Duval County GOP Chairman Mike Hightower.

Thanks for finding this, tut.

About 9 a.m., people identifying themselves as Code Pink, a liberal protest group, unfurled a bright pink banner about three stories long from midway up the 11 E. Forsyth apartment building downtown. "Bush Lied Fire Him," read the banner, which was taken down about 15 minutes later, apparently at the building management's urging, group member Colleen Galbraith said as it was coming down.

I wish I had know ANYTHING about this when it was happening! The 'PC' place where I work cut off our ability to listen to talk radio via the internet about 2 weeks ago specifically due to the election, (grrrrr), and the shielding makes it impossible to get any AM signal at all!

I checked FR all day and no one posted anything about it - what a let down!!

Had I known this was going on, I would have left work and driven there and pulled that ^&*%$#& banner down and anyone who happened to be holding onto it!

This is an acceptable and recommended way to add clarity to a headline:

Duval County [FL] Supervisor Of Elections Resigning

or,

Duval County Supervisor Of Elections Resigning [FL]

Can't something be done to have those "voters" purged from the record? For goodness sake....it's like any accounting....you have very little room to move on either side of right! Get it right! If the mayor doesn't respond, go higher. Go right up the ladder until someone does something about it.

We all need to do this in all of our cities, counties and states. If it isn't right....it's nothing other than wrong. And we can't settle for wrong!

You've got a sharp mind! Didn't even think of that. She's on the left side of the election though so they will leave her alone.

I found this...

(11) Each supervisor of elections shall forward to the property appraiser for the county in which the homestead is claimed the name of the person and the address of the homestead of each person who registers to vote at an address other than that at which the person claims a homestead exemption, as disclosed on the uniform statewide voter registration application pursuant to s. 97.052.

http://www.flsenate.gov/Statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&Search_String=&URL=Ch0098/SEC015.HTM&Title=-%3E2004-%3ECh0098-%3ESection%20015#0098.015

Surely this info could be obtained under FOIA.
