Well, before we went into Afghanistan, UBL generated videos fairly often. Now there are only audios. That says something, IMO.

He once actually handed my date the keys to his Studebaker and said, "Here, drive this."

Nice dad. :^)

Unfortunately, the lack of proof he is alive is matched by an equal lack of proof he is dead.

Most people in the know seem to hint that he is likely gone and decomposed, but there is no proof, one way or the other.

We can only hope that somewhere, someplace, a DNA sample might tell a story, but it is not likely.

If the worst happens and Kerry should actually happen to win, you'll never hear anything more from the so-called mainstream media about Bin Laden, he'll just sort of conveniently and gradually vanish into the memory hole. You heard it here first.

OK so I guess you have contacts too? If so, then do you think it will ever be let out to the public?

I bet that is what is going on, but he cannot say anything. This has got to be driving Bush nuts. Just imagine how Bush could smoke Kerry with all his "where is OBL, we outsourced our work, etc". I would love it. However, I know I am fantasizing.

Why should Bush take a position on this?

If Bush says OBL is dead and OBL shows up, it hurts Bush's credibility and helps OBL maintain cult status.

If OBL doesn't show up, a number of liberals will use the opportunity to declare the war on terror over, when it clearly is not.

If Bush doesn't take a position, liberals can't help themselves and will declare Bush is holding OBL for just prior to the election. This will only hurt liberals and help Bush.

Notice how the president never blames the clinton administration for much of anything?

The default position of a Kerry administration will be to blame President Bush for everything. If any terrorist activity occurs, it will be President Bush's fault and he will pilloried by the MSM.

So OBL will be in the press, but only to continue to bash the President.

This would explain his comments on why he's not worried about him. On the flip side it shows that Al Queda doesn't need him either, which is more frightening that these A-holes cannot be stopped no matter who gets killed in their leadership!

"There is no way that Osama could keep off TV if he was alive. It's too easy to produce a video now."

He may be dead, but it will never come to light. All the Bush administration needed to do was say Bin Laden is dead then on October 25th, he is shown on video being interviewed by Al Jazeer.

Best it be kept quiet.

No, but this was the first vid he did after Tora Bora. He is definitely not using his left arm, and looks, well, sick.

"President Bush, meanwhile, has just continued to keep the pressure on the terrorists, get us out of a recession, protect the homeland, and generally put the country's interests ahead of his own. He deserves your vote."

Amen ! he's got it....
