I completely agree with this assessment.

There is no way that Osama could keep off TV if he was alive. It's too easy to produce a video now.

I believe he died shortly after Tora Bora, where he was wounded.

One can know something but not prove it.

It is likely that Bush "knows" OBL is dead. I believe he's dead.

The thing is, he can't prove it.

And then there is always the slight chance that he's not dead but laying low in Iran.

If Bush did declare OBL dead and then he popped up. That would be very, very bad for Bush.

So the stalemate continues.
