NEW YORK (AP) ABC News says journalist and former President Kennedy press secretary Pierre Salinger has died.
Well, condolences to his family.
One less crazy American in France. More room for Lurch.
Probably died of heart break after reviewing the polls and seeing Bush leap ahead.
Salinger had recently been ill, said his fourth wife, Nicole, in a telephone interview from their home in Le Thor, Provence, where she runs a bed-and-breakfast. They moved there four years ago from London and Washington.
He was very upset with the electoral system in the States, she said. He said, If George Bush is elected president, I will leave the country, and we did.
Falsely attributed to JFK
May SOB rest in peace. Prayers for the family.
Frankly, I can't think of a single positive contribution to society from this Kennedy flack....
Semper Fi
There's no delicate way to say this..... I'm sorry he died, but I'm very glad we do not have to listen to his rantings any more.
He gave a controversial commencement address here at SUNY Oswego (how the mighty have fallen eh?) in May. He was a bitter angry old man then and took a lot of hits for using that venue to unleash a political attack. Sounds like this was somewhat sudden if he was travelling making speeches not so long ago.
I thought he left after Reagan was elected. 4th wife, haha!
Skerry should be deported to France.
Here's a little known fact for ya, Sammy:
Pierre Salinger once appeared on the ABC show "Batman" in the 1960s. He played Catwoman's lawyer, "Lucky Pierre".
If George Bush is elected president, I will leave the country, and we did.
If only all the liberal scum would keep their promises.
Yeah. That's sad. I never really liked him, but what John Donne said, and all that. . .
(As a side note: Personally, I won't miss him.)
RIP Pierre.
Lost two family members last night myself.
No. It was that other guy. The speechwriter. ummmmmm
You know, what's his name.
Well, we have to give him credit at least once doing what he promised.
The French will probably declare a day of national mourning.
Of course, that's not to say this journalist had a liberal bias, or anything like that.
