The MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION STORY the Media will NEVER Tell

This peice was so moving that I posted it to the top of my own web site. It brought me to tears...

Last week, on Tuesday, our school had a field trip to see President Bush speak at the Farm Progress Show in Alleman, Iowa. It was even educational trip to learn about all the security we had to go through at the outdoor event.

It was a typical campaign stop for the President. He spoke for 45 minutes, much of his speech was about agriculture because there were many farmers there, along with thousands of other people.

A few days later we learned something very interesting about George W. Bush's visit to Iowa. Carson's former teacher had some friends there at the speech, whose son had been killed In Iraq as a Marine last April. The ouple's son was named Ben.

Ben's parents had blue tickets, which meant they would be standing outside on the ground with the rest of the crowd to hear the speech. At some point, their tickets were upgraded, and they were given tickets where they could be seated on the stage with the president.

About 45 minutes before President Bush came on stage, 2 secret service men asked them to leave the stage, and come inside a white trailer, behind the stage. The parents were told to wait there, and also told that when the door of the trailer opened, they would want to stand up.

When the door opened, there was President Bush. He greeted them warmly, sat down with them at a table, and said, "Tell me all about Ben."

The parents told of how Ben knew the all the reasons why he was going into Iraq, and how he was glad to be doing what he, as a Marine, had been called to do. They told of how they had a complete peace about his death, and how they were absolutely certain he was in a much better place now.

After about 20 minutes of conversation, Ben's dad said, "We want to tell you, Mr. President, that my wife and I pray for you every day." Then President Bush said, "Let's pray right now." They gathered hands around the table. Ben's dad opened the prayer and the President closed.

This quiet encounter happened on a day when the President had major campaign stops in Tennessee and Pennsylvania, as well as Iowa. He also made an appearance at the Republican National Convention that evening by satellite. We were amazed to hear of this kind and heartfelt deed, which is one of many that the President does without any reporters present, and a deed that will not likely ever hit the mainstream media. It was a lesson to my children, that a truly great leader is a humble person, one who will go out of his way seek out the hurting, and lastly, a man of prayer who loves and trusts God.

I hope that by sharing this, you will see a glimpse of this leader behind a closed door. I hope that we can also ponder, as Ben's parents did even in their sorrow, that God has a plan for our lives, and for our country.

This is why President Bush will win November 2. God Bless President Bush and Ben.

This is why he should win, but unfortunately God lets us do any stupid thing we want to, until He returns to rule with a rod of iron.

Truly honorable and great deeds are those that are not done for recognition. What a great man.

You can't make these things up. This is a man of conviction, and a man OF the people, and he has told the world, "I don't want you to love MY country, I want you to RESPECT my country"! There is a hellofa difference, and the President understands that.

Had ALgore won the last election we would have had weekly attacks on this great nation. The President does NOT seek love, he seeks RESPECT, and he will have that. This is what a large majority of these here American People believe, and we stand by. You come and hurt my brother and I will hunt you down and kill you like a dog, period! That's too good for most of these assH**es. These vile conspirators from within our borders (RATS) give aid an comfort to the enemy. They are just as bad as our enemy.

The end of this election will be the start of the end of both of these enemies. This great nation will rise again, just like we always have. Sometimes, in peace and prosperity we sleep (we need the rest), but when we are angered and attacked, we get angry, and when the righteous are angered a blow from the God, almighty follows. The aftermath of this election will calm both this great country, and the world. The American People will have spoken, and the rest is ours to win.

This is not the first timm President Bush has pulled aside the parents of soldiers who have been killed in the WOT. 3 local families here in Ohio, had the same experience and hold President Bush in the highest regard as it was a very personal moment for them, no cameras, no reporter, just them and the First Family

In addition, he has met with the family of captured soldier Spc. Matt Maupin on several occasions when he's been in SW Ohio. The first time, in May, one of the channels (channel 5) reported it. The other stations just said he had "a secret meeting that was not on his public schedule" and speculated which major campaign donor it might be.

I'm proud to say I support President Bush, you would never see Kerry doing anything like this unless it was a media event.

A great illustration of the true role religion should play in our society: shaping the character of individuals who will, in turn, live principled lives of integrity, compassion, and sensitivity. In a society like ours, religion should not be used to impose one's religious rules, but to be "salt and light" examples to make a quiet difference wherever one is.

Exactly my sentiment every time I get worried about Kerry, the evil Clinton follower.

Good will triumph over evil.

True character is doing the right thing when no one is looking.

I imagine some of the prima donnas in the MSM would be truly shocked at these stories. They all think Bush's faith is faked. You cannot fake stuff like this.

Bush is a good man. As Lynne Cheney knows, Kerry is not a good man.

I can vouch for this story.

The Marine mentioned was Ben Carman, from Jefferson, Iowa.

I used to work with his father, Nelson, and attend church with them.

A more patriotic and godly family you will not find.

They handled their grievous loss exactly the way Ben would have wanted them to; with faith, love and hope for America and freedom.

God bless and keep our President and the Carman family.
