"It's interesting how Zogby and WPO have seemed to move in reverse... I wonder if there is something in the methodology... Zogby now looks very good for Bush, better than this poll.. whereas WPO consistently looked better than Zogby a few weeks ago"

Any idea?

Saw the WA Pest polster on Fox this morning. He says it's not as close as it looks, as GW's positives are a lot better than FinK's positives. FinK's numbers are coming from people who hate GW, as opposed to supporting FinK - FinK's constituency doesn't really like him very much. The 'rats, driven by hatred, are much less likely to come out and vote than Bush's base which, on the other hand, is "highly enthusiastic" about their candidate, and are likely to vote.

There must be some sort of denial factor going into their poll. Don't worry, here in a few days they will accept the trend and report it accordingly. I don't for a second think this race is a dead heat.

Have heard the undecideds bread to challengers in Senate and House campaigns but to the incumbent in Presidential elections.

Very little regarding the Washington Post is legitimate.

Conservatives in W,DC call it the "Pravda on the Potomac!"

The only items worth reading, if at all, are the Sunday advertisments that are neatly packaged. The rest is quickly thrown into the recycle bin.

The socialist/communist rag is less than worthless.

Yes. These pollsters remind me of a silly little terrier we adopted - always chasing it's tail . . .

Undecideds often break 3-1 for the challenger.

that axiom is applicable to congressional races and has never been generally applied or proven in presidential elections

I think people whose sole motivation is hate are likely to wish a plague on both houses, and simply abstain. Every once in a while I lurk on the DUmmie site, and that kind of mentality is rampant "down there."

That would be nice. But seems counter-intuitive. Got any links?
