For anyone watching Crossfire. Jon Stuart (spelling) host of the Daily Show is being deadly serious and is calling the show a lot of crap, that the show is hurting america, the show is bad, the hosts are political hackery, that the show is to debate as much as the WWF is to real wrestling.

"Shows like Crossfire, Hannity and Colmes, et al, all suck and offer nothing but bile and useless spin...from both sides of the aisle."
They are the leading cause of heart attacks in America. "Stay tuned Charlie Rangel vs Ann Coulter up next!" Now won't that be pleasant? I would rather hit my pinky toe 15 times with a ball peen hammer than to subject my self to one of those shout show.

The Daily Show is a big part of the trivialization and bitchiness of American politics that he's apparently (I'm not near a TV) talking about. TDS is a comedy show. As Stewart pointed out he is on the same network with a show that has puppets making prank phone calls. Crossfire on the other hand purports to be a legitimate debate show on a self-proclaimed "news" network. Those are entirely two different things.

There's nothing good on TV anymore except Good Eats, Doc and Sue Thomas :o)Alton made some comment on GE the other day that convinced me he's a Republican. Hmm, Alton, is that you?

One Crossfire is worth a thousand Daily Shows. I'm glad Carlson brought up what a suck-up job Stewart did with the Kerry interview. This really got to him, and he had to go back to his "we're just a comedy show" defence. A nerve was touched there. He wants it both ways. He wants to be respected for being politically relevant but then falls back on this "aw shucks" BS whenever he gets called on a specific point.

Stewart made a total ass of himself. Even Begala was defending Bush.

No, he is NOT funny. He is patheitc little loser that THINKS he is funny and can only agrandize himself at the cost of others. If you think he is funny, then I would seriously consider therapy....

You may seriously want to consider getting a sense of humor. Sheesh, don't you break liberals chops at work and vice versa. It's a COMEDY show. It's not meant to be taken seriously.

Stewart's show is nothing but Michael Moore Lite. Last night I watched as the first 4 segments torpedoed Bush and didn't even mention Kerry by name or show a clip of him.
To: mtbopfuyn
Was that when he said "Made in the good 'ol US of A"?
I caught that. I think he is a GOPer. I really like the show.
To: mtbopfuyn
What was it? We watch & like Alton & GE, too.

My mother is voting for Kerry, should I take the fight to her too? Yes.
Fight in this context does not mean kill or disfigure BTW.
