The death of journalism

Posted on 10/15/2004 10:38:26 AM PDT by Visioneer

CBS = Forged Government Documents

NBC = Interviews with Kitty Kelley for 3 days

ABC = Using North Vietnamese testimony to discredit our own Vets

For all practical purposes, National mainstream broadcast "journalism", in the USA, is dead.

Just my opinion...

You are right.

The esteemed platform of the ethical journalist has been twisted and hijacked by a new ethic which legitimizes the prostitution of news-reporting.

Now, propaganda and news are synonymous if the source is secular-humanist, Socialist, or liberal.

Your opinion is shared by me and a lot of others I know.

Why is FOX News creaming the shorts of their opposition? Because, when I watch the other channels they are constantly hitting me in the face verbally.

They make a snide remark about the military (SLAP).
They make a snide remark about Ronald Reagan (SLAP).
They make a snide remark about Republican voters (SLAP).
They make a snide comment about my Christian religion (SLAP).

They only want to talk to those who agree with them which is the very reason why they are ending up with ONLY those people who agree with them. I have flown their coop. I am having a grand old time with the FOX's.

The broadcast media are just the conspicuous pimps of today's journalism. The printed media, though rapidly falling from grace, is just a guilty.

Only in the mind of a Kerry-liberal are statements by former enemies more probative of truth than statements by Americans who risked their lives for us. And only in our biased MSM would such drivel be pased off as credible fact. What makes them think the 30-year-old recollections of a hand-full of VN peasants are more reliable than 30-year-old recollections of US veterans who are willing to submit themselves to US-style scrutiny and examination? Talk about unreliable hearsay! ABC, NBC, and CBS are disgusting.

"If there were no alternative to the MSM, the battle would already be over...."

Actually, I think if there were no alternative to the MSM, we would be on the brink of Civil War II. It is precisely the Internet and other alternate media sources that may prevent a great deal of unpleasantness in this country over the next half century.

What is particularly troubling is the question of why these people think and believe what they do? How far removed from the Constitution can these people get?

One thing about Socialists and Communists: They have never been reputed to be slouchers when it comes to advancing their vile agenda....

They died a long time ago. They just haven't been buried yet.

(FR is helping with the burial though)

You are correct, though I'm sure most modern journalists have themselves deluded to believe otherwise.

Last night on Scarborough Country (MSNBC) there was a liberal talking about Bush's faith and how only a small minority of people who are "simple minded" could have faith in God the way Bush does. He obviously must have been speaking from his lofty perch of intellectual superiority, not realizing that his entire liberal foundation is intellectually dishonest "you can't legislate morality" when, in fact, all they do is legislate immorality). I'll stick with the GUY who says, "Unless you come to Me as a little child, you cannot enter the Kingdom of God."

Liberals have small minds. Kerry just couldn't seem to get it through his head that when Bush says, "You know, the education act is really a jobs bill in disguise." Kerry will say some such slovo: "Well the President talked about education and I'll answer your question about jobs."

Their minds are tiny.

And Iraq. They can't see that freedom in the Middle East is a revolutionary idea that will transform this world. They call conservatives and their ideas staid, close-minded, status-quo, when in fact it is they who are that. They refuse to open their eyes.

Off in the distance I can hear a tolling bell.
All around the mainstream there is a vile smell.
Ready for the Devil’s grill.
Peter, Tom & Dan will.
Spend eternity broadcasting from a studio in hell.
