45 minutes to go. If there is already a live debate thread go ahead and delete this.
I understand posting a live thread has become a somewhat of a political ordeal here, when it shouldn't be. So to take the pressure off, I'm posting this anyway. Do I dare? LOL!
My problem with this is that if, as kerry wishes, the choice is left up to the woman and she has to deal with the sin and it truely is between her and God, then why is there a law that it it illegal to commit murder? That is between the killer and their God isn't it? I guess in my book, abortion and murder are the same thing. And while we are at it, why don't we let them kill off the elderly who have become a burdern on their children? (/sarcasm). Sorry, you hit a nerve.
May be something has developed in the last 12 hours that confirms Kerry dishonorable discharge and changing it to honorable discharge during Carter?!
here is the new thread

Anyone here know if there will be a text version of the debate tonight posted anywhere?
Probably not, but I thought I'd ask. I want to check these "facts" that Kerry was spewing all night so I can douse my airheaded "I just feel that Kerry did better"-but-can't-give-any-real-reason-why friends with a dose of the truth!
I'm pretty sure Kerry and Edwards are the Ambiguously Gay Duo.
HAHA! That's perfect.
I found it!
Text of tonight's debate can be found here:

The other two debates are also on the site. Here is the homepage.

In pregnancy counceling the aftermath, or emotional effect is never discussed. I had a friend who'd had an abortion in her college years. She never married the guy. Sometime later, when she had married a diferent man, she became pregnant. She said that she'd shoved the guilt of the abortion as far back into her mind as she could possibly manage. When she sat in the doctor's office for the pregnancy with her husband, they asked her a routine question. "Is this your first pregnancy?" She said it hid her harder than a ton of bricks and she cried and cried! After that she devoted her time and eventually became president of a pregnancy crisis center which educates against abortion. It was hard work, but they had great sucess in educating, and persuading mothers to the alternatives.
Sadly, her second child was diagnosed with leukemia when he was three. He died when he was six. I think a part of her felt that it was punishment for the abortion, that at this point, had been so so long ago.
Then you're in complete agreement with God. For a woman who believes in God and accepts His Word, there is no choice to be made, for God Himself has already decided.
The unborn are living and human and we are commanded to afford them the same protection against murder as anybody else.
Just when I'd convinced myself to go to bed you post a link to learn more about the discharge. Oh well, I'll just be a little groggy when teaching my kids tomorrow. I'll manage.
I was right! I knew it!
"It is sad that you have spent so much time "observing the political process," and yet you don't understand it."
Lets see....4 years as a Town Selectman, 3 years of School Board, 4 years as Mayor, 2 years as State Rep. In addition, I've worked on campaigns for RR, GHB, Bob Dole, GWB, Bob Smith, Phil Gramm. Participated in recount in Florida.
Sorry dude, I understand the reality of it, you understand the fantasy world.
Ugh! I don't blame him....2 buck chuck is NASTY!!!
BTW, I prefer reds....but sparkling white is always fabulous!
Guys, I just want to thank you. This has been great fun! However it is almost 2:00. If I get to bed now I can get 5 1/2 hrs. I know my husband would thank you too if he weren't asleep. While he is a staunch conservative, he is not quite as vocal as me. This site gives me quite an outlet to voice my rants, raves and opinions sparing him from listening to everyone of them. Appreciate it!
Good Night!
I am very sorry for your friend's loss. My sister also had an abortion as a young woman. She has problems with it to this day. She has since had 4 children and one with residual paralasys from a stroke enutero. There used to be a time, before I was saved, that I could understand a woman's right to choose, but since giving my life to christ, I know in my heart that I could never do that. The question was brought up to me tonight if I would do it in the case of a rape. My answere was quick and heart felt "What did the unborn child do wrong"? It is not the fault of the unborn child that the father was a sick man. I have also seen a situation just like this work out very well where the mother was raped and kept the child. Her daughter is a beautiful, peaceful spirit. Thank God for miracles however they come. God bless you in your work.

Please see my post #8235. This explains alot. God bless you for your convictions and faith.
Thank you for that. I'm in agreement
Sleep well.
Good night, God Bless.
I've just read 3/4 of the thread. I went to see the President tonight at Bank One Ballpark after the debate. It waa pretty cool.
John McCain introduced him and said some very nice things about GWB. He said to vote for GWB because, "This is a good man."
