That is just wrong.
Do not dis Barney, or Gomer either, for that matter, as some have done on other threads.
The characters from Mayberry are not the opposites of the Kerry / Edwards junk.
It's a different universe, Mayberry. There is no Kerry in Mayberry.

This may sound silly, but I think that President Bush probably had a tin of Altoids in his pocket. Several years ago, his father visited my place of employment. I was helping out the Secret Service and they asked me if they could store his suit jacket and shoes in my office. There was something in the pocket that clanked. Although it just about drove me nuts, out of respect, I did not reach or look inside the pocket. I am fairly certain that it was a tin of Altoids by the way it felt and the sound it made when I shook the jacket. Oh Gosh, I hope I can't get in trouble for posting this. When I saw the ridiculous pictures of the President's "bulge", I thought of that. By the way, the 1st President Bush, had a nice label inside the neck of the jacket that read, "George H. W. Bush". Needless to say, I felt really honored to have his belongings in my office.
