SPIN THOSE POLLS! SPIN THOSE POLLS! [10/13 02:50 PM]
UPI reports on the efforts to spin online polls and mass-mailed letters to the editor.
President George W. Bush and Sen. John F. Kerry will walk across the stage Wednesday night and greet each other at the beginning of the third and final presidential debate. Already, across the country, e-mail messages are arriving in newsroom inboxes declaring a winner. A new form of spam is emerging this fall, called debate-spin spam, experts told UPI's The Web. The veracity of the e-mail messages being sent as letters to the editor is coming into question, as are the timing and content of many of the messages, because a significant percentage is being generated by bots, or intelligent software agents.
Which reminds me, it's time for the Pajamahadeen to continue our jujitsu operations. We had some success recently, but I think it's time to set our sights higher.
As usual, the instant online polls of news organizations, that the DNC is steering its members to here, will be less valuable and useful if the result is so stunningly skewed that no one believes it. So a poll that shows Kerry won 99 percent to 1 percent is less useful to the DNC than one that shows Kerry won 70 percent to 30 percent....
don't we have anyone here that can write a program for the 3-5 main polls
then pass it out to freepers that want to run it the whole night??
I think this is the wrong approach. Online polls are done mostly to get hits for their websites. Let the Dems have the online polls...when their website hits drop and their polls are skewed, maybe they'll listen.
Yup! I said just that the other day. I will not do any more online polls. If I ping to them it will only be so people can see how skewed they are! The most recent polls are so out of synch with reality that they are absolutely worthless.
BUMP -- I absolutely agree!!!!
The only problem I see is that they won't report the numbers, only the results. You will hear words like vast majority, tremendous Kerry victory, incredibly high percentage, etc.
Even more of a reason not to vote in them. I don't trust the MSM either. Why let them know how many people there are out there who really support Bush. Let them live in their fantasy world where all is right and Kerry is 99% winner. Then let election day reality crush them.

++ TALKING POINTS ++
Kerrys Debate Performance
-> America saw John Kerry as our next President tonight.
-> Kerry showed strength, conviction and steady command of the facts.
-> Kerry left no doubt he can lead the fight to hunt and kill the terrorists.
-> Kerry offered hope for a fresh start in Iraq so we can finish the job. Kerry has specific plans: Bush had shallow promises.
Bushs Debate Performance
-> Bush had a record of failure to defend, and he failed to defend it.
-> Bush refused to take responsibility for his go it alone rush to war. He seemed defensive, annoyed and arrogant.
-> Bush had no plan, no clue for ending the chaos; hes out of touch with reality.
-> Bush cant fix the mess in Iraq because he pretends things are fine. Pretending is no substitute for planning.

I'm in...thanks
Let's not participate in online polls PING!
Their ineffectiveness will be much more obvious when only the dems are using them! :) Of course, knowing the copycat DU, they will stop using them too! LOL!
Personally, I think you have something there. If we could get the poll numbers in the millions, don't you think someone in sheeple world would become suspicious???
I am forced to agree with your comments.
99% to 1% is not enough. In the spirit of rat vote fraud, Kerry should get at least a few points over 100%.
Sneetches...as in star bellies.
What if this backfires? Is the RNC counting on its supporters to hit these polls?
I and others have suggested this in the past, but too many FReepers and other conservatives are convinced that they can somehow vote more than the automated computer scripts of the liberals.
I support your idea. But unfortunately, a lot of people just aren't able to grasp the concept.
I believe he was joking.
Have you ever seen the RNC on here asking us to do anything?
Because it's one that usually gets ignored. It's a good one to Freep.
