Navy Stripped Kerry Of Security Clearance!!!!!! Unauthorized Contacts With Enemy Agents!

Kerry Lost Security Clearance!

Just spoke with reporter friend in DC. She is talking with former USN ONI types who worked on DOD/USN investigation that resulted in total loss of Kerry’s Navy security clearance.

Kerry had been granted a Top Secret by the Navy on October 11, 1967 based on a routine background investigation by Office of Naval Intelligence. A top secret clearance was required for his work at that time.

Obtaining and holding a security clearance of any level, especially TS or above, requires certain terms, obligations, commitments and conditions from the holder. One of the most important is the holder of the clearance must promptly and fully any contacts with any foreign officials, agents, etc.

Lieutenant Kerry left active duty with the Navy on January 3, 1970, but he still carried those obligations as a commissioned officer of the Naval Reserve. Without telling anyone and without receiving permission from superiors,FBI or counter-intelligence officers, he traveled to Paris in the summer of 1970. He claimed the purpose of his trip was a honeymoon with his first wife, Julia Thorne, but there was another hidden purpose.

Numerous North Vietnamese and Viet Cong intelligence agents and officials were in Paris, having arrived a year earlier for the “Peace Talks.” While in Paris, Kerry met with agents on a number of occasions and had extensive discussions with them about U.S. plans, procedures and how to get the U.S. to essentially surrender in Vietnam.

These clandestine meetings were never reported to the Navy.

Almost a year later, in April 1091, speaking as the leader of the Vietnam Veterans Against The War, Lieutenant Kerry told a Senate hearing about his meetings with enemy agents. Senior DOD officials wanted to prosecute him as a Naval Reserve officer for violating a number of laws and regulations, but this was vetoed by the Nixon White House. They didn’t want to give the anti-war crowd any additional PR ammunition.

However, the Navy immediately pulled Kerry’s security clearance. He became a Naval Reserve officer who was known not to be trusted. He kept his commission, but lost all access to any classified information. In the words of one of the now-retired agents, “Lieutenant Kerry wasn’t cleared to know what time it was!”

The bottom line is, Kerry was on the Intelligence Committee of the Senate after the Paris fiasco and another trip to support the Moscow-backed Sandinistas in Nicaragua.

Today, he couldn’t get a security clearance to pull KP duty, but he wants to be Commander in Chief of all our military in the War on Terrorism!

I don't care if the Pope posted it without some reference
it's just an opinion piece. The internet is overburdened with
traffic like this.

Brings the statements he made earlier this year about recently "meeting with foreign leaders" to a whole new level, doesn't it...?

Valid questions assuming that MindBender's source is good:

When was his clearance reinstated?
What did it take to get the reinstatement; e.g.; renouncement of foreign ties? Special Non-Disclosure Agreement?
Will he undergo a new investigation for clearance if elected? Or has he already undergone investigation? And if so, how has he been able to obtain a reinstatement of a security clearance?

Get real.

1. Interesting that you are silent on the atrocities committed by NVA/VC.
2. The war was not illegal.
3. Kerry did not shorten the war. He prolonged it and the pullout of the US set the stage for millions of deaths in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia at the hands of the communist regimes.

Attempting to re-write history to favor the communist agenda will not work.

I would be very surprised to find that Kerry held a TS clearance after leaving active duty. Since he would have no "need to know" he would have been debriefed and signed out of the program.

In my experiance, I only held a clearance as high as was required to perform my duties. And that was tied to the command/job I held. I have carried TS/SCI clearances on active duty and as a civilian contractor. If the job I was in no longed required a particular level of access, you were debriefed.

Seems he was on the committe between 1993 and 2000

But according to the Republican National Committee, Kerry missed most of the public hearings when he sat on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence between 1993 and 2000.

Be prepared for the libs to spin it as a routine downgrading of clearance due to no longer having the need. It happens in the navy all the time. In fact, I had my TS downgraded to Secret when I transferred from my submarine to shore duty. It will be upgraded again when I go back to sea duty next year. They give you only what you need.

I'm not saying that's how it was. I'm saying that's how they will try to spin it, if they know anything about military clearances.

If you get a link would you please ping me? I would like to send it to WLW radio here in Cincy. They just did a report on Kerry's dishonorable discharge and his refusal to release 32 pages of his records.

I'm confused about his serving on the Senate Intelligence committee.

Didn't he serve on that as a Senator? Isn't he still on it? Hasn't he been missing meetings? Or am I confused with meetings he has been invited to as a Presidential candidate?

As a senator would he automatically recieve security clearance?

“Lieutenant Kerry wasn’t cleared to know what time it was!”

Well, see, there ya go....no wonder his campaign was stuck in Vietnam even in 2004. He didn't know what time it was or even what year. Similar confusion about that Christmas in Cambodia.

This will break HOT!

Well, maybe. Only if proven by genuine Navy documents from the 1970's.

You have to have Top Secret Clearance to be a Commander in Chief, if I am not mistaken.

Being Commander in Chief gets you all the clearances you want.

If someone gets elected President, it's not like there's a background check to see if they can get intel briefings.
