If this story is going to make headlines, other researchers are going to have to prove it.

Don't forget our secret PR firm, the Kerry campaign and DNC - they'll scream, yell and hollar 'pack of lies!' causing more exposure than any other publicity. They never fail.

"The Truth is while perhaps many had grown weary of years of war, they were nowhere near joining the loud, rowdy minority of anti-war types. Proof is Nixon's landslide victory in 72."

OMG....this is so absolutely true...

I was a young McGovernite back then, thankfully got over that fairly quickly ( campaigned no kidding for Wallace in upstate NY years earlier.....lol)...

but most people my age did not care one hoot for protesting or burning bras or lived anything like the hippies did...

there was a silent majority who supported our troops even though no one ever, ever likes war....

of course, the MSM has adopted this stance and has completely retold the 60's and 70's....

just like they want us all to believe that Watergate was more than a stupid political trick milked for an eternity by the Demons...

but clinton and his maifiosa presidency was just "politics"...

At the time he should have been getting a discharge he was being transferred into Standby reserves. Something was up.

How are these board of officers appointed? Executive Order?

Would the review themselves be a matter of public record or would it be sealed?

Thats the surprise. Kerry has officially been caught between a rock and a hard place. If he does not sign the form he can't disprove the charges and he will take a beating. If he does sign form 180 his campaign is probably over.

I don't discount their effectiveness in dragging Kerry down a couple of rungs. But there has to be a bit more punch to the story to force the Old Media to carry it. If CBS, ABC, or NBC touch this at all, it will be to spin the idea there isn't much difference between an honorable and a general discharge. But before they go that far, someone is going to have to find a document.

Now, if George Bush, tonight, was to ask Kerry in front of the whole world why he hasn't signed form 180, and why he didn't get an honorable discharge until after Carter pardoned people with records similar to his--then it would be difficult for the MSM to avoid. In this case, they would talk about how low Bush was going and how desparate he was because of the bad news in Iraq, the economy, etc.

There's no way anyone here will ever see the Old Media fess up and join our side. Ever. They will simply lie until they have no audience at all.

I have a good feeling Sinclair Broadcasting knew about this.

They already stated they are using cuts from Stolen Honor for an original "News" broadcast.

Deny deny deny and make believe he is above it all.

That is what he will do and the MSM will help him pull it off.

Where would the big outcry come that would MAKE HIM sign 180?

He probably figures he won't win the Presidency anyway and if he signs this, the records would follow him until his death and he wouldn't even have had the Presidency.

No reason for him to sign ever IMO!

Posted 7/1/2004 -- Petition to Indict and Disqualify John Kerry from National Office

Signers: 169469

Though John Kerry has an extensive and well-documented record of anti-American activities over the past three decades, it is his acts of treason in 1970-71 that are the subject of this petition for indictment. Our appeal notes both Kerry's violations of the UCMJ (Article 104 part 904) and U.S. Code (18 USC Sec. 2381 and 18 USC Sec. 953), and calls for his disqualification for public office in accordance with the Constitution's Fourteenth Amendment, Section 3, which states: "No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President ... having previously taken an oath ... to support the Constitution of the United States, [who has] engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."

Why prosecute John Kerry now? In October 2003, Mr. Kerry chose to make his Vietnam war record the centerpiece of his campaign for the presidency; this has been especially true since his primary victory in March 2004. In response, more than 165,000 signatories of the above-referenced petition for indictment have made his war record the centerpiece of their campaign to disqualify Kerry from public office. We understand that no action is likely to be taken on this petition until after the 02 November election. Be it known, however, that on 03 November, we will seek full recourse in an effort to have John Kerry prosecuted for acts of treason and disqualified from any future campaign for any national office. We are thus committed to holding Mr. Kerry accountable for his actions, as there is no statute of limitations for acts of treason.

Mr. Carter's first act as president was a general amnesty for draft dodgers and other war protesters. Less than an hour after his inauguration on January 21, 1977, while still in the Capitol building, Mr. Carter signed Executive Order 4483 empowering it. By the time it became a directive from the Defense Department in March 1977 it had been expanded to include other offenders who may have had general, bad conduct, dishonorable discharges, and any other discharge or sentence with negative effect on military records. In those cases the directive outlined a procedure for appeal on a case by case basis before a board of officers. A satisfactory appeal would result in an improvement of discharge status or an honorable discharge.

That explains alot
Here is John Kerry's New and Improved Honorable Discharge from his own website that the Sun story refered to.

We can conclude that John Kerry's intial discharge was Less Than Honorable

I wonder if the moderator at the debate might feel any pressure to ask him about his records. If this makes enough waves during the day, it just might come up don't you think?

McGovern didn't support the troops. He is on the FBI records as supporting the VVAW and Kerry's anti war activity.

I meant proof. No doubt they don't help themselves when they expand our issues by crying foul. But to get the old media's attention, there has to be physical evidence. Libs just don't think well enough to use logic on them.

But now, one of the media organs has officially Raised The Question.

So, the MSM whores will now have to deicide whether to get on the story or try to ignore it in which case somebody else might get on it.

As someone else pointed out earlier, once the Lewinski story made it out of the bottle, it couldn't be contained.

Ketchup Boy has a couple of problems with this... First of all, the fact is that he was not routinely granted an honorable discharge. He didn't get one until A Mysteriously Long Time Later. That in and of itself is not enough to force the MSM onto the playing field, but this latest tidbit of information certainly is. There is now some detectable smoke coming out of the barrel of the gun.

Second, he can now be legitimately asked about this - particularly after Limbaugh and a couple of others get ahold of it, which they will instantly. So at best, he's going to be quivering in his French lace panties with fear, hoping that his minders can keep anyone away from him who might raise that question.

Third... there have *got* to be people still alive who *know* the truth about this. Are the Naval staff who sat on the boards of inquiry into whatever "Activities" got him into a dubious state, still alive? Are they legally bound to secrecy? Are there other documents which might mysteriously leak??

However... and nevertheless... I wouldn't count on this to sink his sampan. It might, but don't forget that "Warped and Wandering Willy" got elected - and re-elected - despite having been an outright draft dodger, and despite the existence of his letters and other documents conclusively proving his duplicitiously evading the draft. Are the kreebots who voted for Willy, going to think these irregularities in Ketchup Boy's discharge are *worse* than what Willy did??

Don't wait for something to put Kerry out of action. We will have to do it ourselves. If you haven't volunteered for the Republican Party GOTV and election monitoring programs, do so NOW. Time's up.
