The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

ATLANTA (CNN) -- As more than one billion Muslims prepare to celebrate Ramadan, terror experts are mixed about whether the holy month is a tool for recruiting terrorists.

Some terrorism experts and Islamic scholars say Ramadan gives extremists an opportunity to enlist new recruits.

"It's a time which can be exploited by radical clerics to motivate individuals into taking action on the basis they are somehow serving their religion," says terror expert M.J. Gohel.

And analysts see another temptation for terrorists: exploiting the Battle of Badr, a symbolic date in Muslim history, which falls near the U.S. presidential election.

First thing to do is keep your wits about you. Unless you're directly threatened by the attack, it would be best to shelter in place, at least for a little while.

I keep 3 days of food, water, clothing in my car. If anything goes down, I'll stay put unless I'm in the danger zone. Once the dust settles I'll initiate my personal evacuation plans.

Part 1 = They are oh, so happy that Tawhid (Zarqawi's group) and Qaeda (Osama) have merged. Of course, allah willed it all. They can now defeat the Americans in Iraq.

Part 2 = blah, blah, allah, Mohammed, blah blah...destroy the unbelievers...

Part 3 = Reiterating the significance and joy of Zarqawi's pledge to Binnie. I think I'm reading that there was a rift between them for about 8 months, but now they're climbing one rope to allah. Also, call for young men to join up. (No health care plan, I bet). They feel that the American politicians were frustrated with this merger and the Americans are shaking in their boots now....wishing it was 2001 again.

Reminds me of a comedy movie where the foreigner drones on in his language for 30 seconds then the interpreter say 'his highness says hello'. This warning for NASA, is almost word for word, the reports
that I was getting on the radio when our last space ship
crashed...

Late at night, the news reports, began to say the ship would land, if it were safe to do so.

said there was extra security, both on base and out to sea,
due to the threat of terror.

More than likely it was ABC radio news, that is on the usual
stations that I listen to at late night.

Think I found the "attack notification" reference. It was in Daleel's "Cave of Darkness" post where he listed Al-Qaida's eight demands on the American Administration. Here's the portion in question (found the entire post on #59 here)

All you have to do now is to stand up for once a real stand for your own good and the good of your nation and people that will be attacked by total destruction (cave of darkness), and history will re-write that your punishment was a combined punishment of all the nations that came before you and walked your same path. And you will then cry like women in your underground caves.

And it will be fair enough for you to see that for us knowing that you will run away hiding in your underground caves, we will give you a prior few minutes notice before our blessed attack so that you will be able to watch your destruction with your own satellite as we would be by then have passed the sky's of the seventh sky to heaven and your nation to the fires of hell, and what and end for letting you govern them and move them to the direction of hell and what a direction!
