First thing to do is keep your wits about you. Unless you're directly threatened by the attack, it would be best to shelter in place, at least for a little while.
I keep 3 days of food, water, clothing in my car. If anything goes down, I'll stay put unless I'm in the danger zone. Once the dust settles I'll initiate my personal evacuation plans.

Have discussed this with my youngest son, and we are of the belief a bike in the trunk might not be such a bad idea (when you consider gas stations may not be operational) along with a filled backpack, as if you were going on a week's trip or more.
