Nation's largest TV chain orders all 62 stations to show movie without commercials next week.
NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Sinclair Broadcast Group, owner of the largest chain of television stations in the nation, plans to air a documentary that accuses Sen. John Kerry of betraying American prisoners during the Vietnam War, a newspaper reported Monday.
The network has ordered all 62 of its stations to air "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal" without commercials in prime-time next week, the Washington Post said, just two weeks before the Nov. 2 election.
Sinclair's television group, which includes affiliates of all the major networks, reaches nearly a quarter of all U.S. television households, according to the company's Web site. But the affiliates owned by the major television networks reach a larger percentage of U.S. homes because they are in the largest markets.
A dozen of Sinclair's stations are in the critical swing states of Ohio, Florida, Iowa and Wisconsin.

ping. The infamous October Suprise?
Thanks
There goes that liberal media again...
As someone who gets pissed when the media is blatantly biased towards liberals, I also get pissed when they are biased the other way. I can only imagine the uproar there would be here if they were airing Farenheit 9/11 in prime time. But now that the media is on "our side", people sing a whole different tune.
...But they will not vote for a change if the other choice is untennable as president.
Kerry's past has not been exposed by the MSM. People will stick with bush if they see what kerry did to folks wearing the uniform back in the 70's.
If this film mentions that kerry's discharge from the Navy was not issued until 2000 (it should have been dated back in the 70's), and that there are ~32 pages of records that Kerry WILL NOT release; folks are going to ask what is on those ~32 pages.
I suspect that they will say that he was orginally discharged under "Other Than Honerable Circumstances" (NOT GOOD FOR KERRY THE "WAR HERO"), and will expose several pages that petition the department of the Navy to upgrade it to honorable.
If the program asks why his discharge was issued decades after it should have been, and gives my theory as a probable answer, kerry is SUNK. (Ever wonder why Bush always says he was honorably discharged? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm--Interesting. Very interesting)
This, if I were to guess, is the October Surprize. The Libs know the question is probably going to come up. The issue is not that the film will portray Kerry as a Cad, but that it will expose his actual military record.
I think so.
The problem is that the liberals probably know what is coming. Kerry's Actual Military record. ~34 pages of it that Kerry will not release.
For you central Alabama FReepers, Sinclair has two O&O stations in this area, WTTO, channel 21, and WABM, channel 68. They both have a small signal coverage area, but are in the local channel lineup on both Dish Network and DirecTV. Hope we get to see "Stolen Honor".
Playing "Fahrenheit"? (July 1, 2004)To Moorewatch.com, exhibit A is an exchange, said to be from a pre-Cannes, European press conference, in which Moore tells a reporter he doesn't "agree with the copyright laws." (A link to the clip is available on the site.)
"I don't have a problem with people downloading the movie and sharing it with people," Moore is heard saying. "As long as they're not doing it to make a profit off it, as long as they're not trying to make a profit off my labor."
He also stood by minors sneaking in. Quite often that requires paying for one movie and seeing another or even a second.
Since John Kerry is so proud of that period in his life, he should be exstatic that this is going to happen.
This will demonstrate for everyone how much character John had. Boy is he lucky...
Smirk.
How much media coverage and shelf space has the MSM already given to Fahrenheit 9/11 and Michael Moore?
How much media coverage did they give to the issues of John Kerry's post-service Vietnam War activities? Considering a group he was affiliated with plotted to assassinate elected congressmen, it is definitely a valid issue.
I wonder if John Kerry would be able to get top level national security clearance based on his radical agitator background if he wasn't "elected" president?
Many thanks!!!!
Could be. I can't imagine why the liberals should be any more bent out of shape over this than they were over corporate theater chains running Fahrenheit 9/11.
Point being, if he were to undergo the same background check as his employees, would he qualify?
