This morning I was dropping my son off at the high school when I noticed that presidential -- correction, LIBERAL -- politics had struck.
A lot of high schools, ours included, have a large rock in front of the building. Students are allowed to spray paint messages on them throughout the year as long as they're not obscene in nature. This recently became an issue when presidential politics struck the city of Jackson here in Michigan. Students were allowed to spray paint political slogans on their rocks as long as good judgement prevailed.
Grass Lake HS was hit this morning. The rock had been painted on three sides. The first slogan I saw said "Bush Lies Who Dies." All right, I thought, they're simply following Jackson's lead and assuming that policy. The second slogan was "Vote Kerry 04." The third one, however, shows the depths of ignorance Kerry supporters suffer -- it said "F*** Pres Bush."
After I dropped off my son, then my daughter at the nearby middle school, I turned around and went back to the HS. I was appalled when I learned that NOBODY had alerted the ladies in the office what had happened. When I left they were in search of a can of spray paint.
I'm letting the local papers know about this. I'm also adding that I wasn't surprised, given that Kerry supporters are burning swastikas in lawns and physicially assaulting GOP offices in other areas of the country.
This dog DOES hunt, and its mad right now!
That's the influence of big labor.
Here's hoping that the perp didn't have the brains to ditch the spraypaint can, and that they catch him/her. Are you near the Philly schools? I'm in the York area and, so far, we've not had anything like that happen.
In Jackson, no one cares.
I'm appalled but not surprised.
Jackson, Michigan is also the home of Ted Nugent.
Maybe he can help 'hunt' down the perps.
Looney Left.
I went to a college football game Saturday night and an Arab looking kid had a t-shirt on that had a pic of W in a cowboy hat and the caption on it said "Idiot son of an asshole" .
You can get away with it at a college, but I would love to see him wear that at a NASCAR event.
That's it. When the rocks and plants side with Kerry, Bush doesnt have a chance. This is right out of Revelations, people!
LOL!
Jeez, I dated a girl from Grass Lake many moons ago. If she was any indicator, the teens do tend to run a bit wild there.
Good for you.
I don't know about the "wild" yet -- we haven't lived here that long -- but my 14-year old son is having lengthy political debates with his liberal friend. My son about fell over when his friend said he thought that the loss of some of our rights might not be a bad thing.
I'm glad to say there are quite a few kids on my son's side :-)
"At least one MTV voter made his or her opinion known on Grass Lake High School's rock Monday morning. When dropping my son off in the parking circle I happened to glance at the rock which, like so many other schools, is often painted with messages for and by the students. This particular morning it bore the messages "Vote Kerry 04," and "Bush Lied Who Died." I squirmed at bit, assuming GLHS was following the Jackson Schools policy of student speech, until I saw the final message. It asked unsuspecting readers to comit a four-letter obscenity on President Bush. I notified the ladies in the office who immediately went on the hunt for a can of paint.
"While I feel fairly certain this was done by a student, I can't help but wonder about the source of this behavior. Kerry supporters have burned swastikas in lawns bearing Bush signs and assaulted GOP offices with bullhorns and markers in Orlando and other cities. This type of behavior is reprehensible but not surprising when MTV and so-called "adults" from the left are shining examples of it and actively encourage it.
"Rock the Vote," indeed.
I hope they replace the F*** with the word VOTE!
The products of our wonderful education system...courtesy of the teachings going on for several years now..which teachings are proliferationg as we speak. Folks. it didn't just happen by accident.

"And if you need any more evidence of how sharply divided voters are this year, talk to some Bush supporters in the Laurelhurst neighborhood. They woke up Sunday morning to find anti-Bush messages spray-painted on their cars.
Vadals hit Laurelhurst neighborhood
First it was stolen signs, now political vandals are targeting cars. Residents in southeast Portland's Laurelhurst neighborhood woke up Sunday morning to find cars spray-painted with hateful anti-Bush messages.
At least two cars were vandalized."
I couldn't help but laugh.
