Sinclair Broadcast Group, one the nation's largest broadcasting groups, has instructed its stations to pre-empt their regular programming just days before the upcoming presidential election to air the anti-Kerry documentary "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal."
Folks, this might as well be an October suprise! Everyone is going to know all about Kerry's anti-War activities now!
They own a lot of stations....
HUA !
While over at DUmmie land:
"It's time for George Soros to make a tender offer for Sinclair
This is serious folks. Sinclar is planning to preempt network prime time programming in order to run a 40+ minute anti-Kerry documentary. Could you imagine the outrage from the right if CBS decided to air Farnheit 9/11 in prime time shortly before the election? How is this any different?
If what Sinclair is doing is legal, then clearly the law is badly flawed. But one way or another, Sinclair needs to be shut down. And what better way to shut them down than to buy them out? Sinclair obviously has no understanding of what the term "public interest" means. And Soros is a smart guy -- I'm sure the SBG would thrive under his leadership."

Now that will be Must See T.V.
"Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. is a diversified television broadcasting company that owns, provides programming and operating services (pursuant to local marketing agreements (LMAs)) or provides sales services (pursuant to outsourcing agreements) to television stations. As of December 31, 2003, the Company owned, provided programming and operating services pursuant to LMAs or provided sales services to 62 television stations in 39 markets. Its television station group is diverse in network affiliation, with 20 stations affiliated with FOX, 19 with The WB, eight with ABC, six with UPN, four with NBC and three with CBS. Two stations are not affiliated with any network. The programming that Sinclair provides consists of network-provided programs, locally and centrally produced news, syndicated local sporting events and syndicated entertainment programs."
I am hoping Sinclair will not cave and pull their order.
Looks that way

The left knows it cannot impose it's socialist agenda on the rest of us through legislative initiatives that are debated by Congress and voted on, and if approved, goes to the president for either a veto or a signature. They have every intention of thwarting the Constitution by nominating activist Judges who will legislate from the Bench instead of interpreting the existing laws that are currently on the books
I wouldn't worry. ABC will make sure everything is evenhanded.
I can hear the rumble of the Kerry Lawyer Brigade springing to life over this one.
And the MSM would spin that Bush is the real Hitler and the other guy was misunderstood.

Since I don't think it will be listed in the TV Guise, how can I find out when and on what channel? I'd like to see it.

Conservative TV Group to Air Anti-Kerry Film
http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-sinclair9oct09,1,3230034.story?coll=la-headlines-nation
NEW YORK The conservative-leaning Sinclair Broadcast Group, whose television outlets reach nearly a quarter of the nation's homes with TV, is ordering its stations to preempt regular programming just days before the Nov. 2 election to air a film that attacks Sen. John F. Kerry's activism against the Vietnam War, network and station executives familiar with the plan said Friday.
A little over 17 minutes into Stolen Honor it shows Kerry talking to Steve Pitkin about his "testimony".
Before this documentary is shown on TV, Rush, Hannity, Brit Hume, etc. need to have Steve on to tell and re-tell his story! Stolen Honor brings tears to your eyes and then you get mad as hell!
Sink the Scaramouche!!!
bump!
