I attended the Bush rally in Chanhassen, MN today and wanted to report back that it rocked! Easily 10,000, probably closer to 15,000 in a suburban Minneapolis park. President Bush spoke for about 30 minutes and was fired up. Expect to hear "he can run but he cant hide" a whole lot more the next 3 weeks. The crowd loved it. A great fall day and a big step to making Minnesota a red state for the first time since '72.
Thanks.....
It actually isn't my idea. FReeper 'wallcrawlr' coined the phrase 'W-innesota.' I stole it from him.
Our President has been out working and performing his Awesome Responsibilities every minute of every day, especially that Friday in Florida. What one of us could have contained our smirks at the drivel coming out of Kerry.
Especially after seeing the heartache of that day and everyday since 9-11. God Bless Our Wonderful President!!
I'm gonna sign up for the 72-hour thing today.
I had a chance to go to the rally yesterday but decided to do Voter Vault data entry.
A little off subject, but why, why, why is nothing said about John Kerry and the Democrats...campaigning at black churches...on Sunday morning....during the worship time!?!
It is all over the news again today! John Kerry speaking at a black church in Florida, this morning, about the evils of
George Bush (Sharpton and Jackson are shown asking God's blessings on Kerry in the election). In the churches I attend people are actually intimidated about even mentioning a politician's name when the church is gathered for worship...or even inside a church building.
I could give out with a "Dean scream" everytime I see this!
The only way Kerry can get any kind of response from his "crowds" is to ask, in his famous stentorian (?) tones: Dooo yew want blah, blah blah, and then they halfhertedly and dutifully respond, nooooo.
excuse me, will you people stop whining about some stupid baseball game... The Cowboys just through one to the Giants.
do you know how GOOD that sounds ???
It is pretty darn good.
I'm not much of a television person anyway, though that's the field I worked in before I decided to become an 'at home' mom.
I'm kind of an oxymoron, and no, I didn't say moron. (<;
There's a man I work with that is a hard core Democrat and he hates President Bush. A friend of mine showed him the pictures in my book (Unfit For Command) and he said he had already seen them. He told her that his son is leaving for Iraq soon and as much as he hates President Bush, he's voting for him because there's no way in h*** he wants Kerry as his son's Commander & Chief.
Wow! I'm glad you had a copy of "Unfit for Command." I wish every one of the ABB crowd would give it a read.
There's hope for your co-worker. You helped change a mind. Keep up the good work.
I was about to flame you to a crisp, but then I saw your tag line. All is forgiven. (grin)
In answer to your riddle. You are white.
Absolutely a beautiful reply. Kerry thinks he is royalty and a patrician.
I was there in approximately that time frame, when Ken Keller
(a Chem Engineering professor) was made University President.
He was a conservative (for U of MN), and I remember
regularly seeing grafitti to the effect that
"Keller + Reagan = Hitler"
Sigh. It seems like the left never changes. See Michael Moore.
Yes, I said *approximately*. I know when Reagan served.
[Full disclosure: I met my wife in MN too.]
What?! You didn't like "W is for Wrong!"? LOL!
Heck, just the logo "W" is better'n anything Schrum et al have come up with!
