More news in the War on Terror...this time regarding some information found in Iraq. A computer disc was found containing information about schools in California, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, New Jersey and Oregon. What was the information about? Information like photos, floor plans, as well as an Education Department report on how to prepare and respond to a crisis. And why would this information be there?
Because terrorists put it there. Terrorists in Iraq that are preparing to strike the United States. And why would they strike a school? Just like they did in Beslan, Russia, where Islamic terrorists shot innocent children, the terrorists know that killing people's kids would get the biggest reaction. They have absolutely no respect for innocent non-Muslim human life, and they will do everything possible to kill as many Americans (young and old) as possible.
Somebody should ask The Poodle...if Iraq is not a terrorist threat, then why was this material found in Iraq? Because it is a terrorist threat, that's why.
Schools are gunfree is not a true statement for all states. In my state I can have the firearm in my vehicle as I deliver kids to or from school or attend a sporting event but can't step out on school grounds with it. It must remain in the vehicle. If I'm picking up or dropping off kids and see such an attack start I'll bite the legal bullet and exit my ride to protect life regardless of "law, rule or directives" as I believe most here would including you.
Even a teacher or staff can leave a firearm locked in their vehicle on school grounds. I believe that if one has a CHL then they should be allowed to pack it anywhere short of a courtroom or private business that ask's for people not to carry on their soon to be bankrupt or robbed commercial enterprise.

U.S. officials said they don't know how to explain why such material would be found on computer disks in Iraq. They said the information recovered is publicly available through the Internet or other means.

The Department of Homeland Security official said the information included a Department of Education guide on how to plan for a crisis in schools. A senior government official said there is no indication anyone was on the ground casing the schools.
HOW IN THE H DO THEY KNOW THERE ISN'T ANYONE CASING THESE SCHOOLS? This is a STUDY SESSION, they’re obviously laying the groundwork for an attack by studying our response strategies. WHEN ARE WE GOING TO WAKE UP PEOPLE!???!!!
It was surprising and eye opening to hear the number of people who do not get paid for jury duty. The state pays us $12.50 a day, I have to return $5.00 to the government since I am on administrative leave, but several people just falt do not get paid by their employeer. Can you imagine being on the receiving end of their decisions?
"Hey, I don't get paid for this so you fry."
...and then let parents accompany the kids on field trips...armed, who meet the same requirements. Again, there'd be plenty of volunteers.
This is the same thing we should use for local/regional infrastructure protection IMHO.

Oh Ya, parents surrendered the kids to the school system/ political gov/sub division. don't ya just love it, Not!

Well maybe an immigration moratorium is the ticket. It would apply to white Sweden just has it would apply to Moslem Somalia. No more legal immigration except in cases of scientific or security needs or marriage.
As for illegal immigration how about those new government jobs the Republicans should promise working on the Great Wall of Texas.
Yeah........kinda question I will make my little gator ask during the jury pool selection process. I don't want pissed people having to decide my future if it should ever come to such. I saw too many folks also who just get "screwed" financially for their imposed "public service".
Don't know the answer to the problem except my suggestion above if it's your hiney on the line !
Salvation,My kids are in public school here in Lane Co. and Iam DARNED worried about this.ever since the Breslin horror ive wondered when it would come to us. people do not understand that we are at war, im shaking my head in puzzlement over that. this war started long long before 9/11 and still people are in denial.
I pray everday for my kids and thier school and I do worry about them while they are at school.
I just heard (and saw) a statement from someone in the Salem - Keizer School District. Blew me away, because that is where I substitute.

I just checked out the Salem Keizer District website and did not find floor plans, however, I did find driving directions to each school!
BTW, Salem-Keizer Schools have the second largest district in Oregon, even bypassing Beaverton (in the Portland area.)

If you have a concealed carry lic ~ you can carry a gun in schools in Oregon!
My thoughts are...YOU as the parent, need to find like-minded parents and speak with your administrators NOW. I'd see if anyone had a friend on the local police dept., and have him/her attend the meeting.
I see NOTHING WRONG and EVERYTHING RIGHT with Dads and Granddads patrolling those schools. 24/7. Armed...with proof that they've taken lessons in shooting for the pc crowd. Oh screw the pc crowd. Never mind that last part.
