Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites) has taken a slim lead over President Bush (news - web sites), according to an Associated Press poll that shows the president's support tumbling on personal qualities, the war in Iraq (news - web sites) and the commander in chief's bedrock campaign issue — national security.

I'm sick of this type of coverage - here's front page coverage (on Yahoo) of the AP poll, while Reuter's poll (Bush Holds Narrow Two-Point Lead on Kerry) is nowhere to be seen. Bias, anyone?

Does Ron Fournier get paid extra to write multiple stories on the same poll?

Ummm... Shouldn't you use the headline for the article - ya know, so if someone searches they can find it has already been posted?

Just a thought. :0)

If you want to view some UPLIFTING poll numbers for our President, visit the following website for a summative overview of the new ANNENBERG POLL released today [Annenberg surveyed 1,100 more registered voters than AP during the SAME time period!]

The leftist media is more than happy to "report" about what they wish to happen. Usually, they are wrong. This is surely still the case, notwithstanding President Bush's absolutely hideous performance in the first "debate".

I'm a bit new to this site...sorry 'bout that!

Seeing this headline run for hours on Yahoo's main page just ticked me off a bit - had to vent! :-)

Let's hope W can hit a home run tomorrow night and get things moving in the right (pun intended;) direction!

just ignore it. The uneasy feeling you have that the polls and news are going to brainwash the plebes into voting for Kerry isn't worth getting dyspetic over. Minds have been made up. There are zero undecideds. Bush has the huge advantage and those in the media who spew that type of coverage darn well know it.

Has anyone seen the internals? The other national polls that have come out this week show Bush leading by about 2 points. Matthew Dowd said that they think they are leading by 2-3 points as well.

Leftist indeed. But even the most FREEP'd among us has to admit that Bush was a disaster last week. The leftist media is all over his whinning performance "We work so hard ..." This past Monday, wherever he was in a town-hall practice run -- did you see Bush going back to that stool with the notes on it every 20 seconds -- by now he can't talk about his vision and the future without checking talking points? What the f happened to Bush?

Cheney was great as usual and said all the things that needed to be said about JF'nK. I thought he left out the part of: how will JF'nK raise any taxes with a Republican Congress? On the otherhand, am I the only one who felt like Cheney's closing remarks were a farewell message?

If you want to feel better, go to www.PoliPundit.com. DJ Drummond thinks there was funny stuff going on with this poll because they won't release the internals and the site denies there was a recent poll released.

I tend to agree with you. I think that (barring some unforeseen tragedy for which Bush is blamed) it all comes down to how many votes the dems can steal and get away with. If it looks like a blowout, they will hold back the all out assault on the legitimate election, keep their powder dry for 2008.

Let's make a few assumptions (admitting ass u me) part.

1: There was a mostly honest effort to capture the voters mind prior to the debates.
2: There is an obvious bias in Old Media.
3: Old Media was waiting for any showing by Kerry!

OK. Kerry lied like hell. And it sounded good. Old Media tells America it sounded good. Old Media says Kerry has energized his base. Skew the polling sample to show same.
Result. Kerry/Bush statistical heat or Kerry in lead.

Truth: Anyone watching that debate who would shift their vote can't read or write.

Bottom line.

That headline has been up all day on yahoo home page and right under it "Bush Cheney concede no WMD" they never leave a headline up that long, on average they change every hour. Yahoo is getting so bias in the news they pick to headline.

Wow! Kerry will never overcome that lead.

If you get a chance to watch Leno tonight, do so. Just played here in the east. Had a skit with GWB that ROASTED Kerry with clips from his Dr. Phil appearance...
