Wonder if the senator would be in favor of a project to save electricity in Washington by cutting back on the AC in DC and harnessing the hot air that comes out of that town?

Ping.
By the way, I heard the PTC is NOT a done deal. It's buried in a "jobs" bill which still has to pass one house of Congress.

Why would Warner want to do this?
The only peope against it are the rich lefties with places at Cape Cod and Marttha's Vinyard who are gonna have to see it.
They're liberals, they deserve to have their property values ruined by a liberal idea.

Darn, now there's 10 lightbulbs in Cape Cod that will need alternative energy sources.

It's really too bad that at a time when oil prices are skyrocketing and the United States is so dependent on energy sources from unstable countries, the country cannot get behind a pilot project to provide clean energy to thousands of people.
I worked on the environmental acceptability report for this wind farm and I am an environmentalist through and through. I saw nothing but good things from the farm being placed in Nantucket Sound.

Actually, the main reason why the project hasn't been started is the fact they want to put up the wind farm on the waters
between the mainland and Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Island. That in my humble opinion is a
terrible idea because it will cause a very serious navigation hazard for boats and airplanes traversing Nantucket Sound, given the inclement weather on Nantucket Sound during the winter months.
There is an alternative proposal to put up the wind farm southeast of Nantucket Island, one that hasn't gotten so much opposition lately.

I say cut the electrical cord to Cape Cod and let the New Englanders revert back to the days of our founding fathers, with candle light and cooking with wood stoves!

It is doubtful that the President will bring up this "not in my back yard project" to show the sick nature of the left. Kerry and Kennedy want their yachts to be able to move without any inteference by sound energy policy. But just let the folks who drive to work or want to work in Alaska ask for oil drilling and they go wild. The rich don't need an energy policy. </p>

There will be no need for these windfarms in MA when they complete the 4MW Reactor on Beacon Hill.

The article did not mention the magnetic fields associated with the wind power generators.
In a marine enviroment, the magnetic flux developed by the generators will penetrate the water surface and will prove harmful to various marine mammels relying on sound for navigation.
The magnetic flux is thought by some to be especially harmful to whales who rely on very low frequency sound that travels for hundreds of miles.
The project should be put on hold until detailed studies on the ecoimpact are completed.

They have to find a beach area that the leftist elites like the Kennedys don't populate - maybe Sandy Hook, New Jersey or Point Barrow, Alaska - which have more in common than meets the eye.
Ted The Swimmer is such a hypocrite. I think they should put the windmills there anyway, and send up 10,000 illegal aliens to construct and maintain them.
