National Trend of Threatening Protests Comes to PA

Democrat Protest in Westmoreland County Turns Ugly- Police Respond

Harrisburg – Today, Republican State Committee Chairman Alan Novak demanded his Democrat counterpart, Chairman T.J. Rooney, condemn the threatening protest in Westmoreland County and call upon all Democrat and affiliated campaign groups to stop similar campaign protests that may be planned across Pennsylvania.

“This is an outrage of the highest order. There is no place for violence, threats or disorderly conduct in campaigns," exclaimed Novak. “With similar events happening across the nation, it is clear that some think this kind of action is condoned. I demand that Chairman Rooney call to a halt any and all threatening protests and that he urge affiliated third party groups to do the same."

“Democrat protestors have every right to voice their opinion and be heard. But, when their actions become intimidating, unlawful and even violent, the perpetrators should be arrested and their leaders should be brought to justice. I will take every step possible to ensure that this happens in Pennsylvania to protect the peaceful volunteers that are working on behalf of the Republican Party and our candidates," added Novak.

This morning, a Democrat protest in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, turned threatening and potentially violent when a protestor stormed the Republican Victory Center shouting obscenities and intimidating young female volunteers. Police were called to the scene.

This type of intimidation mirrors the actions of other protests across the nation. Yesterday, an Orlando Bush/Cheney office was ransacked by Democrat protestors. In Tennessee, a Bush/Cheney office was fired upon breaking windows and destroying property.

“This is an embarrassing, ugly and despicable display. It is campaigning at its worst. I trust that Chairman Rooney will deplore these acts as inexcusable and call to a halt any others that may be planned," concluded Novak.

This nation is closer to political collapse, perhaps closer to civil war, than anyone imagines. Combine the Democratic thuggery with a possible nuclear or major biological attack, and all bets are off. We must all be prepared for the worst.

No way mon....not what I said or implied. I said you need to THINK first, not react emotonally, understand your enemy, and make a PLAN. If it comes down to defending yourself against all enemies foreign and domestic...well I think thats allowed.

I believe that, AFTER, the dust clears, we WILL prevail, being so blessed. But God isnt going to do your work for you.

The entitlement party thinks they are entitled to every office in this land and will resort to any means to obtain their goal. While we fight for other countries to have free elections, the dims try to destroy our elections by their underhandedness.

Terry McAwful makes me cringe when he speaks and the Clinton brigade knows all the dirty tricks. President Bush has fought a war against the dims since election day of 2000. When he wins again in Nov. I don't look for their continuous badgering to stop. It is VITAL that that the liberals in congress be removed and this includes the RINOS.

OK, I appreciate the clarification.

I'm sure you agree that many "conservatives" do sit on their asses and leave things to "God." It's one of the many reasons why we lose so much, and so often.

God helps only those who help themselves.

Great Picture! Democrats, meet your predecessors.

By the way, is there any truth to the rumor that a little girl was blinded by shattered glass at the shooting attack on the Republican headquarters in West Virginia? If so, why isn't it being covered by the media?

You know I read about these incidents and I can't help but think every single democrat should be removed from office. This is directly a result of their vicious propaganda campaign against president Bush. Michael Moore's lie/hate-filled movie doensn't make things better either. Add to that the irresponsible statements of rats like the balloon Kennedy, and no wonder this stuff is happening. Only this time, it's not Viet Nam.

We are trying to fight a brutal enemy who wallows in blood, even the blood of children, and we are having to fight selfish, stupid, power mad, leftist lunatics, who don't give a damn about the safety of our nation, and will try to take back their power no matter what the cost.

I TOTALLY RESENT the democrat party for doing this . They should all be removed from office either at the ballott box or through a series of re-call elections. They are not fit to run this nation. Personally, I think they should be removed from the USA as well. They should have their citizenship revoked and sent to the country of their choice.

I am totally serious about this. I would be willing to pay a tax increase to give them a little money so they can get started in their new country. I'm not even angry at them anymore, I've gone past that. They just need to leave. They hate it here. They don't value anything we stand for. They want to live in Socialism-so let them, in a place that has Socialism. It will save them from the violence they want to inflict on us. (they will lose in an open conflict.)

We can't be fighting a war on 2 fronts- overseas and at home. It's dangerous. It's distracting to LEO's and it's even dangerous for the lefties (the terrorist will kill them to, if they get the chance), but they (dems) are too stupid to realize it.

I'm just fed up with the democrat party. They have no clue what's going on. This age is as far from Viet Nam and the 60's as we could possibly get. These times are much more similar to WWII and every bit as dangerous.

Democrats have no shame. Do you think the likes of Bill & Hillary , Teddy, Tom Daschle, Dan Rather, Dan Rostenkowski, Tom Ament, etc. give a rip about how they achieve their goals?

They know they are losing so they seek to intimidate voters who fear confrontation.

It's not shame as you or I have it. Instead, to borrow something from Overstock.com, it's all about the "E". Embarassment in the sense of ego and further setbacks in their cause. That is what bringing the matter to light will do. I haven't really been smoking crack or anything that would make me think the far Left will have a turnabout in conscience apart from anything other than a direct intervention of GOD. And even then...who knows. But thanks for reminding me of ol Dan Rosty- we partly do have him and his scandles to thank for taking back the House in '94. Knowledge is power ;)

OF course. They wouldn't try some of that in small-town Texas (grins).

snip...
"There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware
I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down" snip
Buffalo Springfield

We could take their 'Nam rhetoric and use it against them...

They are so self-righteous they don't even see that they are on the dark side.

"give a rip about how they achieve their goals"

I guess it's simple

The democrats are willing to tear down this nation.
They are willing to put the lives of every citizen in danger while eager enemies wait to attack us again.
They are willing to risk the lives of our soldiers, by encouraging our enemies to attack them , so they can call the war a "quagmire".
They are willing to send our nation to the brink of Civil War (while vicious Islamfacists lie in wait), with schemes of voter fraud and inflammatory lies of vote suppression ,(all while they send their own thugs to engage in real intimidation tactics).
So I ask you America :

Are the Democrats fit to hold office?

Good for you. I'm in the looney toons state of California. Very worried about putting out signs or stickers. Today my college student kid went by the Pubbie headquarters in Fullerton and got us bumperstickers and yard signs. She said she has had enough. She's going to put the stickers on her school notebooks and God help anyone who gets in her face.

... funny thing is most of the rabid libs are her teachers.

I've heard that Michael Medved segment about miraculous incidents throughout our nation's history that saved it. We could definitely use some "divine intervention" about now. There are just so many obstacles, but I do see that in spite of all this, president Bush retains a slight lead. That's a good sign.

Now, that I think is an idea which is headed in the right direction.

While I (a) think the Demonrat party should, as others have suggested, be subjected to a RICO investigation, (b) find the idea of Demonrats being able to engage the people I know who are Republicans in a violent confrontation to be ludicrous, and (c) would personally very much enjoy the opportunity to hang one of these goblins upside down naked and go at him/her/it with an acetylene torch, IMO we need to think strategically here.

As others have pointed out, violent confrontation will be played to our disadvantage in the media; moreover, the longer the Demonrats keep this up, the more likely it is to backfire on them.

Providing cameras and (preferably film, for evidential purposes), pepper spray for the Republican offices is a good idea. Additionally, a security plan should be worked out for all offices so as to provide defensibility and an escape route for volunteers, and to ensure that no one is left alone in the office.

Most importantly, though, the police should be contacted in advance in every jurisdiction where there is a Republican Party office, and made aware of the threat and that they may receive an urgent call from the office. Get through to to the big badge and ask him to pass the word down about what's going on. The cops are on our side in this.

Arming ourselves is a good idea in any case, but in this situation I would try to avoid injuring anyone unless it is impossible to escape and there is an imminent threat - no matter how tempting the target.
