You're wrong Andrew. Sheesh, he's a disappointment.
Don't be so hard on Andrew. He just developed a crush on Edwards cause of his silky hair. They still do not get it. It is not about STYLE. The "media" including the right wing pundits still haven't figured it out. Style LOSES to substance in a post 9-11 world. They are still all hung up with how they "feel" about how things "looked". What a bunch of idiots.

I thought it was way out of line for Edwards to mention Cheney's private family life like he did. I think it was meant to in part throw the man off and weaken his resolve.

Cheney did better in the debate because he didn't have to be Presidential. He can be an attack dog, Bush can't. Bush is ultimately responsible for the decision to send the sons and daughters of Republicans AND Democrat Americans to their honorable sacrifice in Iraq, and he can't BE partisan as the CIC. Cheney is not the CIC.
I wish people would accept that. Nuthin' against you, because what you say is how it is spun. And you were making an accurate prediction. But we Freepers should be smarter than that, at least.

Silkpony was so scripted, it was painful. When Cheney backed him in a corner, he went back to memorized "Kerry and I have a plan" line with his little girlie fist.
Talk about filling the screen...Cheney was in command in every respect. And it didn't hurt that the Breck Girl kept waving his girlie-man hands like a damsel in distress, which he certainly was after that drubbing!
It was just shocking to me.
And, as you know, I've been furious with him for calling Bush a liar all year, but this was way over the top.
What if Cheney had said, "Well, Senator Edwards, we all know your son is dead; why didn't you sue the automobile maker?"

For Edwards to be such a successful lawyer, he must've been up against some really baaaaaad lawyers.
But the zinger on Iraq came when he referred to the challenge from Dean in the primaries and said that if they were unable to stand up to Howard Dean how could they stand up to AQ. Devastating.
