Did Kerry Violate Debate Rules By Using Cheat Sheet?
Mensnewsdaily.com ^ | October 3, 2004

Democratic Presidential Candidate John Kerry may have violated the rules governing last Thursday's presidential debate.

According to Section 5 (pps 4 and 5) of the Memorandum of Understanding that was negotiated and agreed upon by both the Bush and Kerry campaigns:

(c) No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate. ...

(d) Notwithstanding subparagraph 5(c), the candidates may take notes during the debate on the size, color and type of paper each side prefers. Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium, table or other structure to be used by the candidate in that debate.

On Sunday, INDC Journal and Daily Recycler produced a video and close-up stills showing that Senator Kerry apparently violated the rules signed by his campaign.

The video shows Kerry pulling what looks like crib notes from his jacket and placing them on his lectern at the start of the debate.

The website zombietime.com has posted a frame-by-frame view of the event here.

Use of crib notes during the debate would constitute a material breach of Memorandum of Understanding, though it is unclear if Kerry would be sanctioned.

Hopefully Rush will talk about this.

Does this whole situation now bring the Hillary theory into play? When will she make her move re: the sabotage of Kerry?

I think the circumstantial evidence is mounting that not only did Kerry have prior, detailed knowledge of the questions, but he had notes to support his scripted answers.

The RATS will stop at nothing to regain power.

DemocRATs attempting to say that it was a fountain pen that this botoxed geek was pulling from his inside coat pocket is sophomoric.

Was Kerry was looking down a lot during the debate?

I think he scribbled something down (or at least appeared to) early on.... perhaps so that no one would be curious as to why he was looking down all the time.

In the side-by-sides, do we see Kerry looking down a lot while Bush is talking??

Does tomorrow mean the October 5th edition?

I didn't read anything in the Slimes today. I noted the Post had the pen thing without actually looking at the still shots which clearly show paper.

The whole thing just is so weird.

I just sent this email to Fox and Friends.

"If the liberal writer from the NY Post and E.D. think it was a black pen that Kerry pulled from his pocket, show us the best video in slow motion. By the way, even a pen was not allowed according to the rules."

And I saw this geek writing furiously as though working on a new book about his Vietnam experiences: "My 120 Days in 'Nam."

Yes. He'd look down, then bob back up to flash that famous and warm sKerry smile. He was, in fact, reading his crib sheets and writing with his "pen."

He is a liar and a cheat. But then you knew that.

InDC had it first, Drudge picked it up, then it was posted to FR from Drudge.

So someone beside FR had it before Drudge this time.

I just called the Comission number and the guy on the line said that he had not heard about it. I find that hard to believe.

(RE "just a fountain pen") Agreed. The image in the still that begins this thread plainly is a card or paper of some sort. The only defense that could begin to be plausible is that this card/paper was the one that the Commission staff pre-placed on the podium ... but the video, in context, strongly suggests that Kerry had just pulled the card/paper from his jacked pocket, not taken it from the podium "desk."

See my post #189 for my prediction of what Kerry's excuses will be. Oh, and also "my staff failed to tell me that there were cameras in back of me."

Does this whole situation now bring the Hillary theory into play? When will she make her move re: the sabotage of Kerry?

This is what I wrote on another thread yesterday about that:

Hillary's Secret "Gerald Ford" plan to grab the preisdency:

Step 1: Get John Kerry and John Edwards elected in 2004.

Step 2: In mid 2006, unleash the dirt that the Clintons have on Edwards. Edwards is forced to resign. Hillary is appointed vice-president, making it impossible/unnecessary for her to run for re-election for Senate.

Step 3: In mid 2007, unleash the dirt that the Clintons have on Kerry. The public is sick of Kerry and his wife anyway and is relieved to have a reason to dump him. Hillary becomes President using the greatly overlooked Gerald Ford role model which she knows about because she was there and helped make it happen.

Step 4: In 2008, Hillary runs for the first of her two Constitutionally allowed elections for President (since she served less than 2 years as President based on succession, that stent doesn't count). Using the power of the office of President as only a Clinton can, she orchestrates massive electronic vote fraud to "win" the election by cheating.

Step 5: If by 2012 we are still having elections, repeat Step 4.

Step 6: You don't want to know.

This is why I think that it is so crucial to beat Kerry now. By beating Kerry we are really beating Hillary.

If GOD FORBID Kerry gets elected, he and Edwards beccome virtually scandal proof to me. I'd defend his sorry ass against almost any charge that I can think of, as I would see an attack on either of them after election as just a step toward getting Hillary into the Oval Office.

Just listening to Rush. He basically says the same thing. He says we were to expect it and to let it go or we will wind up hurting the president. 1 more little interesting thing, there now more people registered to vote than there are eligible people in the country. This spells massive voter fraud.

I'm sticking with note cards.

O.k., this is my first post on this subject, but I've been reading all the evidence.

I think the white square is ... his cuff. When he puts his hands in the air a la Evita, you can see his white cuffs. And as fun as it is to speculate, I honestly think the reason it looks like note cards is that both cards and his cuffs are white squares.

Thoughts?

On Hannity and Colmes just a few minutes ago (prior to the Ann Coulter segment) they showed the clip close up of Kerry going to the podium.

It was a pen.

Darn.

So he didn't cheat this time (or at least we don't have smoking gun evidence about it like we thought), but he's still a liar and a traitor.
