Kerry Ad Falsely Accuses Cheney on Halliburton
Contrary to this ad's message, Cheney doesn't gain financially from the contracts given to the company he once headed.September 30, 2004Modified:September 30, 2004
Summary
A Kerry ad implies Cheney has a financial interest in Halliburton and is profiting from the company's contracts in Iraq. The fact is, Cheney doesn't gain a penny from Halliburton's contracts, and almost certainly won't lose even if Halliburton goes bankrupt. The ad claims Cheney got $2 million from Halliburton "as vice president," which is false. Actually, nearly $1.6 million of that was paid before Cheney took office. More importantly, all of it was earned before he was a candidate, when he was the company's chief executive.

LOL!!!!!!
Kerry lied? I'm SHOCKED, I tell you, SHOCKED!
Is there a FR thread that lists all the claims maed by the dims concerning Haliburton? I would like to see a list and the FACTS stated alongside. To me this would prove very valuable.
It's possible that the RAT lie about the $2 million relates to stock options that Cheney had and exercised. However, he donated ALL of the after-tax proceeds to three charities.
In addition, Mrs. Cheney has donated all of the after-tax proceeds from her two children's books to charities.
The RATs have no shame. And neither do the Kool-aid drinkers.
HAHA! It should be a jackass...but the horse does fit the face!
:)
HOW DO THE DEMS GET AWAY WITH ALL THEIR LIES!!!
That's a jackass, it's white faced mule. Impotent.
This current crop of Democrats may be the worst thing that's happened to this country since 9/11! Clinton started the "It's OK to lie" mentality, and since they know the Republicans REFUSE to make an issue out of it, Senators REFUSED to impeach, why not continue that methodology. They know most of the general public only hears the "charge" and not the follow-up.
The Democrat Party IS A MEMBER OF THE AXIS OF EVIL!!!!

For more than 60 years, during both Democrat and Republican administrations, Halliburton has a record of service to the defense of the United States. We built war ships for the Navy in World War II, and we recently supported troops in Somalia, Rwanda and Haiti. In the first Gulf War, we helped bring half the oil wells under control in Kuwait. Halliburton employees are prepared to meet the challenge regardless of the difficulties and risks involved.

Good, I will keep this handy.
THanks.
Did you guys see this (false advertising) on VP Cheney?
Thanks for the ping!
In my whole life I've never seen so much outright lying going on in a campaign.
Thanks for the links!!
Don't forget about the Kerry camp's new ploy that "a draft is being considered"....yes, by democrats in congress..Rangel, Hollings, McDermott, HR 163, Sen Res. 89. Dr. Bill Wattenburg was railing on this last night. His theory is the congressmen know it's not going anywhere, but the public is too dumb to realize it's the dems doing it not the Bush administration. He's mostly correct, because people mostly do not realize what it takes to institute the draft...congress...or what the powers a president has.
You mean he told the truth at all that night? LOL! I swear, that man(?) is incapable of telling the truth.
Thanks for the ping, Tonk!
And thanks for posting this, Darkwolf377
Definitely bookmarked. This will come in handy, I'm sure.
All kidding aside, I think Kerry is one of those people who CAN tell the truth, but has such a need to be seen as right in every situation--something a lot of politicians have in common--that he simply makes stuff up without blinking. I don't think he and those like him even know they're doing something wrong--they think it's jsut words, and since they're GOOD, whatever they say is okay as a means to attaining power over the BAD people.
