Close up pics of Kerry's "notes"
Frames of Debate Video ^ | Oct 3, 2004 | Jeff Head

Posted on 10/03/2004 2:01:20 PM PDT by Jeff Head

Here are the specific frames from the debate video shoqing most clearly what Kerry had in his hand as he took it out of his pocket and placed it on the podium.

I have taken two of the frames, lightened them, zoomed in, and sharpened the pics. No other enhancements have been made:

Cropped, lightened original of Kerry pulling item from pocket.

Enlarged and sharpened.

Cropped, lightened original, of Kerry putting article down.

Enlarged and sharpened.

They look like 3x5 cards to me.

When did they start making 3 by 5 flat white pens?

bump to that.

Apparently neither one was allowed to bring anything to the debate, not even pens or pencils, so the fact that he did.....well, that SHOULD be discussed, but it doesn't seem like anyone's really concerned about that in the media (big suprise there), and if we try to make a big deal out of this, it'll just end up backfiring on Bush. I mean, a pen? Come on.

I really don't think there's any way to prove he brought notes. Since this isn't something that can be proven conclusively (like the fake memos) then it's probably a red herring.

Besides, I saw another thread that said there's also video showing Bush took something out of his pocket. I'm gonna go look for it now, I should've saved it.

But again, can anything really be conclusively shown from grainy video?

As I mentioned in my post #584, there are also images from (what appear to be) leftist blogs of Bush taking something out of his pocket, and putting it on the podium. The pictures are just as good as any "enlargements" or "high resolution crops" that we have of Kerry. See for yourself

I think it's just best to let this one alone people.

The Repubs. are at fault for letting Baker agree to three left wing liberals to be moderators. My God, Why did Bush agree to this? Yes Bush was ahead in the polls, and expected a knock out, but forgot the ability of this nest of evildoers. They do it every time! Rush, Hannity, Hume must keep this alive.

OK.....knowing that and the rats did we really or I should say do they really think rules apply to them ?

The moderator should have caught and corrected this on the spot IMO...... they could see as we did Kerry scribbling and taking notes.

Sad.........by the way have you or anyone else you know been contacted to conduct a poll on this or any other presidential issue ? Who are these people that get to respond to polls. I'm not talking about the ones that get freeped. The ones like the noooooze and the gallop weenies conduct ?

It looks like he is turning pages to me. Maybe looking through the notes that he wrote?

. See for yourself

I did, didn't see Bush taking anything out of his pocket. I see him turning the sheets of paper already on the podium. At least in the slo-mo version. The stills also don't show him reaching into any pocket. The stills show him with paper on the podium alright, but that is allowed by the rules. The ones that purport to show him with paper in his hand are of the low resolution variety and you really can't tell anything from them. The paper in Kerry's hand shows clearly in the high resolution slow mo versions, even without blow up. And he can be seen taking it out of his coat pocket, with his left hand (even though he is reportedly right handed) when his back was turned to the audience and most of the cameras. All the photos that purport to show Bush cheating were taken when he was facing the audience and the cameras. Where are the shots looking directly over Kerry's shoulder, like these are looking over Bush's?

Taking notes during the debate was OK by the rules. Bringing preprepared notes was against the rules. They weren't to even carry their own pen, pencil or paper to the podium with them. They were to submit them to the commission before hand for inspection and prepositioning on the podiums.

I suppose you both have a point. I withdrawl my earlier concern.

I'm still not sure anything can really be "proven" from all this though. Here's to hoping I'm wrong on that too.

For some reason, I was afraid to watch the Kerry Bush debate. I sensed something was wrong. I do not have that feeling about the Chaney Edwards debate at all.

Jeff says ......The rules say you they could not bring any cards, notes, pens, props, aides, or anything tangible to their podium. As Kerry walked up to the podium, as these pics clearly indicate, he pulled something tangible out of his pocket

Is there any chance that these broadcasts were made in HD? Does anyone have an HD recording of the side shot? I know it's a long shot, but a lot of broadcasting channels are HD these days even though people don't have it yet.

This is sort of like watching the Zapruder film, isn't it.

If we had had FreeRepublic when JFK (the real one) was shot, how different history would have been!

I've decided that Kerry was holding on the the PHOTO SHOT. He wanted that to be the photo that appeared in all the newspapers.

Luckily President Bush couldn't stand to be within 2 ft of the guy and got out quickly.
