Here are the specific frames from the debate video shoqing most clearly what Kerry had in his hand as he took it out of his pocket and placed it on the podium.

I have taken two of the frames, lightened them, zoomed in, and sharpened the pics. No other enhancements have been made:

Isn't that the consequence for everything? The Left thinks lawsuits can replace war. And they want to elect more attorneys. Wow. That's what's become of this entire debate thing, like everything else, the @#!#$% lawyers are the only thing the pubic expects to hear. Bush got outlawered. And so have the rest of us, every time we turn around.

That could be the fallback position--argue that the meaning of "tangible" was not spelled out in the agreement.

I didn't watch the debate and all I know about this topic is what I've read on FR, but I don't understand why Kerry would risk being observed removing the cards from his pocket. Why not just have an aide hand them to Lehrer an hour before the debate so that Lehrer could put them on the podium for him while no one was watching?

Reading the Memorandum of Understanding, not only did Kerry possibly break the rules, but it would have been Lehrer's responsibility to call attention to the fact that Sen. Kerry was violating an agreed upon rule.

Were the pen and paper placed upon the Lecterns by the debate committee? If so, we all witnessed Kerry's contemptious disregard of the rules.

In which case President Bush proves once again, just how much of a Gentleman he really is. THe average person faced with similar deciet, would have wound up in the nearest ICU having his foot dislodged from Kerry's Edwards.

Are you serious .. FOX showed this and they believe Kerry did have notes with him. Ooooh! This doesn't look good for Kerry.

What were the notes - the questions ..?? Some people have speculated Kerry had the questions in advance.

I did not see the Fox spot, but can only go by what someone posted here who said they saw the Fox report.
