Close up pics of Kerry's "notes"
Frames of Debate Video ^ | Oct 3, 2004 | Jeff Head

Posted on 10/03/2004 2:01:20 PM PDT by Jeff Head

Here are the specific frames from the debate video shoqing most clearly what Kerry had in his hand as he took it out of his pocket and placed it on the podium.

I have taken two of the frames, lightened them, zoomed in, and sharpened the pics. No other enhancements have been made:

Cropped, lightened original of Kerry pulling item from pocket.

Enlarged and sharpened.

Cropped, lightened original, of Kerry putting article down.

Enlarged and sharpened.

Here is what happen the day of the debate; a false anthrax attack: Sounds like another RAT trick to me!!!

Below is my post that I put on the live debate thread concerning the debate and how GWB wasn't "on his game".The link below is about the "anthrax attack" in Broward County Florida the AFTERNOON of the debate.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1231706/posts

I don't know if freepers factored the "attack" into GWB's "performance" on debate night, while sKerry was getting his "nails done" and "relaxing". Here is what I posted:

To: riri; NYC Republican; All
"Bush better have somebodies ass tonight, he came across as completely unprepared. He never hammered home just WTF this big master plan is? Where is this money coming from? It was like Bush kept walking into Kerry's punches. Man, I was not expecting this."

I live in Daytona Beach. I just had to fix my roof for the THIRD time, and will not be able to get it repaired properly for at least four WEEKS, because of backlogged homeowners like myself. My neighbors just got their electricity back on YESTERDAY. The town is so badly damaged on the beachside that it will take a VERY long time before it will monetarily recover.

That being said, I watched GWB touring some of the devastation in South Florida today. I wonder what Kerry was doing today, besides getting "pretty".

As I was getting ready for work starting at 4:00 pm, Neil Cavuto came across with a Fox News Alert, saying that there was a possible ANTHRAX attack at possibly 5-6 locations in Broward County, just north of Dade County where the debate was to be held.

Do you think the Secret Service RUSHED to inform Kerry of the possible attack, asked him if he needed FEMA to start a possible evacuation of say at least 2-3 thousand people (to start with), and check with homeland security to see if any other US cities have also been targeted, and see if the National Guard needs to be put on alert in Broward for help with evacuations if needed, and alert other states NATIONWIDE to be at the ready if needed.....LESS THAN FIVE HOURS BEFORE KERRY'S NATIONALLY TELEVISED DEBATE ???? And put Kerry on HOLD for around 90 or so minutes, until the possible anthrax attack was checked out for it's validity ???

Yes, I believe that GWB wanted to have somebody's ASS tonite on that stage!! After going through a possible terror attack less than 5 hours before his debate, I'm sure he would like to have the person's ASS that pulled this VERY WELL TIMED AND TOO CONVIENIENTLY PLACED fake attack. I also believe that after going through all that today, he would LOVE to have F'n's ASS, who IMMEDIATELY starts off calling him a LIAR, and HE"S NOT DOING HIS JOB !!!!!

F'n doesn't care about my roof problems, or much worse the people here in Florida who DON'T HAVE A HOME ANYMORE, NO JOB because their workplace was also destroyed. Worse yet, IMHO, F'n probably couldn't believe his "good fortune" with the anthrax "attack" RIGHT before the first and maybe MOST important prez debate. I DO believe GWB cares about me, and the American people, and unlike F'n, works 24/7-365 to KEEP IT THAT WAY. Do I think GWB's "performance" last nite was a little "less" that it could have been?? Yes I do. But I understand why, and that is why I think considering the "day" GWB had BEFORE the debate, I think he did just fine keeping his "cool" and NOT WALKING across the stage AND DECKING F'n FOR SAYING HE'S a LIAR and NOT DOING HIS JOB!! (I apologize for my "rant", but I felt it needed to be said after reading all the negative posts here tonite. Thanks !)

All this smoke about the President's facial expressions while Kerry was talking, sounds like we should go over Kerry's expressions and movements while the President is talking with a fine tooth comb.

"If Kerry is right handed it would be more natural to keep an item in the left side, but that would be more observable by the audience. Presumably he knew which lectern he was going to."

Agree, and he also didn't notice the behind-scene camera.

"My other thought is that he looked to be taking copious notes, but maybe he was pretending to be scribbling so he could look down and study the cheat sheet."

I also noticed that on some questions he answered almost before Lehrer's question was finished. I think he was scribbling off the 'answers' one-by-one. It was noted by the dimocRATS that one had to cheat to win this election, and that they would do it.
DISGUSTING!! We'll see what Fox News does with this. I've already seen this topic for discussion on 3 other blogs.

But how can you expect to win when every question is "when did you stop beating our wife Mr President?"

Bush WAS WINNING in the early going, at least in my opinion. He could have won the debate. He seemed to run out of steam toward the end.

Neither candidate really answered the questions anyway. They never do. They just use the general topic of the question to give a prepared speech.

Bush seemed to forget what he was going to say.

Did the rules limit the candidates to use of pen and paper placed upon the podium before the debate, by impartial persons? If that is the case I witnessed Kerry cheating.

But even in these blurry reproductions the item in question is definitely square or oblong.

That's my problem :-)) These old eyes (with an itty bit of cataracts) aren't cooperating with me.

Now if they'd filmed the debate like a football game so the play could be slowed down but kept in focus, I might be able to make something out. All I can see is a gesture in & around the inside pocket of his suit jacket.

Apparently, like Memogate, this story is growing legs via the Internet and the Pajamahadeen.

Let's be candid. If Kerry, or any Dem, thinks they can gain an advantage by cheating; they'll take it. Rules are for Republicans, NOT liberals.

I would not put it past Kerry, James Carville, Paul Begala, OR Jim Lehrer to ensure that Kerry had a copy of the questions up front. And I wouldn't put it past Kerry to prepare his answers in advance so that he came off looking even more polished than Bush might. Noticew that Kerry didn't hesitate in any of his answers and he did seem to segue into Lehrer's next question a little too conveniently.

I'm not a big conspiracy theorist, but I do believe that there is something fishy about this debate, the mysterious object, and Kerry's way too prepared (scripted?) answers.

One thing I know is that we're going to discover the facts on the Internet and NOT by waiting for the MSM to expose them.

Tick, tick, tick, tick . . . . . .

"and apparently a cheat. "No tangible item" is pretty clear. if he can pull it out of his pocket and hold it in his hand..."

And, I'm sure the point has been made before but I missed it--if it was just blank paper to scrawl some notes, why hide it? Why wouldn't blank paper be some big 8 1/2 x 11 sheets??

No... they probably had some blank paper and pens on the podiums already.

To: Jeff Head; All

never mind my previous post--I'm sorry--didn't realize bringing anything tangible was against the rules.

Yep, index cards are pretty darn tangible.

Here's something else to consider: Did Kerry pick the mysterious item up at the end of the debate and put it (them) BACK in his jacket? That could well be the icing on the cake to determine if he used notes - he wouldn't be able to leave them behind.

All I have to say is that if there were clauses in the debate agreement specifying that there was to be no cheating between the two candidate for president, it's a sad state of affairs.

Hmmmmmm.

He appeared to be checking notes. I didn't hear all the "rules" before (I'm stuck with CNN only, I can only bear so much) the debate, so I didn't realize there were NO notes allowed. What if the "notes" turn out to be only his long winded greeting while interupting his answer to Lehrer's first question, in other words having nothing to do with "the debate". That's the kind of excuse they'll come up with. The rules are always "bendable" for the democrats. Have you noticed?

I can't figure out why the talking heads keep saying Kerry won the debate. NO emotion, stone cold and he was nervous. Bush was ticked off. Good. I like knowing that.

Where did I say note taking was not allowed?!

Aye Carumba!

Note taking was allowed but pen and paper would be provided by the commission and if the candidates wanted to bring their own pens or paper they needed to be submitted ahead of time.

I even posted that on a thread before the debate took place and I noted that was kind of odd and I didn't know why. But it was against the rules for them to bring in any tangible item that wasn't submitted to the commission ahead of time.

Not only did I know note taking was allowed, I watched the debate and observed it, plus on this or another thread I noted that SNL made a huge issue of Kerry's excessive and dramatic note taking during the skit. That's completely separate from the issue at hand.

I remember seeing it during the debate - Kerry looked like he was crossing off things on a checklist. I smell a setup.
