Close up pics of Kerry's "notes"
Frames of Debate Video ^ | Oct 3, 2004 | Jeff Head

Posted on 10/03/2004 2:01:20 PM PDT by Jeff Head

Here are the specific frames from the debate video shoqing most clearly what Kerry had in his hand as he took it out of his pocket and placed it on the podium.

I have taken two of the frames, lightened them, zoomed in, and sharpened the pics. No other enhancements have been made:

Cropped, lightened original of Kerry pulling item from pocket.

Enlarged and sharpened.

Cropped, lightened original, of Kerry putting article down.

Enlarged and sharpened.

You think asking the President if Kerry had the "character" to be President was a fair question??

Could you believe that? I gasped out loud. Especially since Lehrer underscored that he wanted GWB to tell us how he personally regarded Kerry on this matter.

Breathtaking.

>>He knowingly violated the rules, there is no good reason to do that.

If he used a blank piece of paper, trying to get GWB to call foul over an "innocent oversight" (as he'd call it), then this is the good reason: conclusion in the public mind would be "Kerry=human, Bush=petty."

It's called gamesmanship, psych-out, head games, Eddie Haskell moves. Smarmy little tricks that, when successful, give the creep a chance to call the victim "Jerk!"

Yeah, right pal.

Cheating in a presidential debate is "OK".

Character is everything in a wartime president.

And you are a character.

One thing that bothered me about the debate surroundings as seen on our TV was that kerry's background was a lighter, brighter blue when shown juxtaposed to President Bush's background...which was significantly darker. I know this must have been a lighting thing...but it was not right. It was creepy.

"...if he can pull it out of his pocket and hold it in his hand...it's tangible."

Yep, by definition.

Character is everything in a wartime president.

Kerry cheated.

Whether it helped him, or whether the Lib's questions helped him, is not the point.

Characters like you should know.

for added effect consider that Kerry was getting pampered with that manicure + make-up (loved the lipstick & those warpaint orange tan jowels) session Bush was meeting with & comforting the hurricane ravaged citizens of Florida.

I think the Zapruder film had better resolution than those photos. How can anyone see anything besides a horsehead in them?

Another FReeper mentioned that it looked like Kerry was scribbling...perhaps that was just an excuse to look down at his notes.

Last night the SNL satire of the debate did as these skits will do, it emphasized what was perceived as the two candidate's tics or behavior. The Kerry actor made a big show of writing (which the real Kerry did) while the Bush actor was talking. Also they showed Kerry using exaggerated hand and arm gestures. But the excessive note taking was indeed noted and parodied at length.

Ive been flying all day. WHAT IS WIHT THE NOTES?? I will start reading the post. HOW will he play this off. Oh it was a note from my wife? A tissue?? Stop the hijacking, today is the last day to register or request absentee ballots in most states. Good news about that is the unions will have to curb their attempted theft of the election.

Well, not that I think it will make any difference to his liberal supporters or to media if he had what he said written down word for word.....rules are meaningless to democRATs, but he WAS writing feverishly the entire time, pretty much, that the president was speaking., so he had to have something to write on. If pressed, he could claim that the note cards were blank and that he was using them to MAKE notes, not read earlier notes. As far as I know, that wasn't against the rules. Whether it was true or not is irrelevant. You'd never be able to prove otherwise.
