XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN OCT 03, 2004 14:05:38 ET XXXXX
DEBATE MYSTERY: DID KERRY HAVE CHEAT SHEET?
Section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns states:
"No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.... Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium..."
So what did Dem presidential contender John Kerry take out of his jacket as he approached the stage [with his back to the auditorium's audience]?
What did Kerry place on the podium?
Video replays of the Kerry maneuver played all weekend long on the internet.
[A tight zoom of the Boston.Com feed shows Kerry pulling a mysterious "card" from his jacket. 14 seconds into video, after commerical]
A top Kerry campaign source explained to the DRUDGE REPORT late Sunday how Bush supporters were once again trying to distract.
"Kerry did not cheat," said the Kerry insider. "This is more lies from Republicans, who are hoping for a quick change of subject away from the president's performance, and the new polls."
Developing...
As stated in my earlier and other's postings the Bush campaign has no say in what anti-Kerry people "push". ( Check Swiftvet issue and forged TANG memo history.)
And if you're going to be a conservative or even a true independent, stop reasoning like a liberal!
Principles decide...not appearances and tactics! Character DOES matter...and who is a better debater is insignificant in comparison!
Which link did you watch?
That's the white pen, actually.
I thought that also, but he probably hid them in the paper they were given for writing notes.
So true. Kerry's obvious cheating is a distinctly separate issue from who won or lost the debate. Cheaters need to be exposed even if they're losers. It just adds insult to injury if through their cheating they beat someone who was on the level.
Oh, right, you are on the dry side! LOL Love it over there!
Hope Rush and Hannity get after this today before it blows away.
Even if Kerry cheated, Bush's performance was IMHO a disaster.
"hard work", For peets aske how many months did it take him to memorize that? He let Kerry lie like a rug and failed to call him on almost all of them.
Bush had better be on his game come the next one, His performance didn't show much "I want the Job" to me. If he wants to be President for the next 4 years he'd best start fighting for it. That includes rubbing Kerry's nose in his flip flops, his smears, lies and outright deciet on both His record in the Senate and his activities after he came back from Vietnam. Kerry actually used his anti-war BS to kick the President. Bush just stood there and took it.
I was really disappointed in his resonses to questions and his reactions to Kerry's attacks. It's like he was in a coma or something. I swear I thought I was watching his dad. This is hand to hand combat and someone best inform the President that to the masses Bush got his ass handed to him.
Note to George, You'ld better find your nads between now and the next debate or your gonna loose. Those Independant voters don't like a eunuch and that is what you looked like last week.
This looks to me like the Work of Mary Matlin.
Someone better wise up and fire her. She has NEVER been of
any use other than for a LOOSING cause.
"Hope Rush and Hannity get after this today before it blows away."
Me too!
Ankarlo Mornings Just mentioned it. He said there was talk of Kerry having cheat sheets, but went no further.
I guess Ankarlo didn't get the memo that it was "just a black pen" or maybe he got it and didn't choose to drink the Koolaid

CORRECTION
Sorry, It was Glenn Beck not Ankarlo
Devil is in the details - same for one;s character.
This 'detail' is big; and it personnifies and magnifies the traits morst abhorrent in John Kerry; and it is those traits that should render him unfit for the most powerful position in the world. . .America's 'little Oval office'
That is exactly what it looks like to me. It may or may not be a pen in his right hand, but he clearly already has SOMETHING in his right hand AS he is reaching into his right breast pocket.
I guess you are correct, lying, cheating and stealing is now advocated in America. America will get just what she deserves.
It is called rhetoric - it is a tool to figure out if your argument can hold water. I posted a rhetorical point.
What's a non issue?
"Rhetoric"...my mistake! I assumed you were being sincere rather than deceptive. ( You must get along better with Democrats. They are big on rhetoric, aren't they? )
Another interesting detail. Kerry Camp says the pen was black but on the video he can be seen using a white pen during the debabe
It is clear to me you have no clue what rhetoric is. But then again the Left Wingers have removed classical education from our public schools because they hate Dead White males who gave us the foundations of Western Civilization and have done such a good job of it that so called conservatives on a conservative web site have no idea they are slamming their own intellectual classical legacy.
