There have been several "live threads" posted today regarding the debate starting early this morning. Let's make this the official thread.
FR Live Thread: Bush Kerry - First Debate - Thread 2 - Here we go!
I know the last debate in Tempe will not be open to us regular folks. I'd have to pony up about 100,000 or so. They are giving the tickets to ASU donors to help defray the costs.
I am in Ohio and I feel pretty confident that Ohio will vote Bush/Cheney
Bush won I can tell already!! There is like 20 Pro Bush signs to 1 Pro Kerry Sign! hehe
haha.. good evening conn. how ya doing tonight. Getting excited??? I am. Go W!!!!
And he doesn't get manicures!
I know that Kerry is taller, but the height of the podiums on the CNN screen look uneven...one taller than the other. My comment on this was that it was perhaps their camera angle, but the overall effect on the viewing public could be a subtle undercutting of President Bush.
Based on your predictions (which, btw, I think are on target), this debate will not have any affect on the polls.
So I guess we are talking under 100KBs?
Over here!
Will be back about ten minutes before it begins. Probably at 2000 posts by then!
Wouldn't that be faux hunting??
Got to find a way to let the people know that Kerry got a manicure today.
Brit Hume made mention of it this evening on Fox News.
______________
Brit did more than mention it, he made a big issue of it. He even imitated the Kerry salute on the roundtable, then held out his hands like getting a manicure, LOL.
Except Brit looked like a honey doing that salute, unlike the Unmentionable Horror.
Hey, that's a hell of an idea....
Finish it off with one of these:
And now you're full! (Or really really hungry)
We have side by side computers, LOL. The family that "surfs" together, etc. There are three people in our home and we have three computers, that keeps everybody happy!
From a USA Today report on the podium light kerfuffle:
"We'll do what we have to," Kerry strategist Tad Devine said after his meeting with the commission. But he also suggested the dispute will pass once Kerry's team makes its point. "We'll beat them over the head a little bit, then we'll see what happens."
Somethng tells me taht there's some very dirty tricks up the sleeves of the RATS tonite for this debate.
Anyone wanna take bets a couple of "audience members" suddenly break out in protest at some point when Pres. Bush starts to speak?
Predictions? Kerry wil surrender, France will follow.
kerry's talking (lying) points:
1) No WMD's
2) No allies in War On Terror
3) 3 million jobs lost
4) I served in Viet Nam
5) No WMD's
6) I served in Viet Nam
And there you have it.
"Prediction: Bush will make Kerry look absolutely silly tonight but this will not matter much. Liberals are so blind in their hatred for the President that they will say and do anything to try to prevent him from winning another term."
I think your prediction is exactly right. Here in Denver I saw an article about the "Bush will reinstate the draft" campaign being used at all the college campuses. Made me want to scream....because dh and I both know who we heard bring up that idea first, on Hannity and Colmes: Charley Rangel-D(ummy)-NY. And we are surrounded by Kerry-Edwards and Regime Change at Home signs....
And people wonder why I drink........ :P
John Kerry scheduled a manicure today.
Honest to God.
He could bat around some Nerf balls.
Kerry gettuing a manicure means that he will be pointing for effect... the man points too dang much!
what a HOMO!!!!!
