On Oprah's Wednesday 'voting party' show featuring very important celebrities like P. Diddy (Vote or Die!), Drew Barrymore, Christina Aguilera, svelte suffragette Cameron Diaz took to shock tactics to get the female vote out.
After a discussion on lynching and the vote, Diaz spoke of the dire consequences for women if they sit out this election:
Ms. DIAZ: We have a voice now, and we're not using it, and women have so much to lose. I mean, we could lose the right to our bodies. We could lo--if you think that rape should be legal, then don't vote. But if you think that you have a right to your body, and you have a right to say what happens to you and fight off that danger of losing that, then you should vote, and those are the...
WINFREY: It's your voice.
Ms. DIAZ: It's your voice. It's your voice, that's your right.
Question...Who would you rather have a stimulating conversation with?
Patricia Heaton and Dixie Carter
or
Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore
Case closed!
Aaaaah! The ages-old Democratic solution! If you can't call someone a racist imply that your opponents can be linked to rape!
Wow!
I can really take what she has to say about anything seriously. Sure!
What a wash out. I cannot help but to notice that most of the people really pushing for Kerry are from the fringe element of society. This dimwit is no different!
So she wouldn't start with heroine, how very chic. So I guess she initially had aspirations to do so.
LOSER!
I've tried that approach with liberals. They either imply that the stories of women being raped in the Muslim world are Republican propoganda or they claim we can't criticize other cultures about rape until we've eliminated it in our own. I'm on your side of course and I think your remark would sway a thinking person but Democrats have programmed themselves to think that anything they don't want to believe is Republican propoganda.
Is it true that Cameron Diaz couldn't make in porn because she wasn't bright enough to memorize her lines? ;-)
If I were a woman, I would find this Cameron Diaz "deep thought" beyond stupid and its beneath comment to have to point out NO ONE wants to legalize rape in this country - EVER.
They have a good sense of humor so I can get away with it.
Diaz: "Fetuses are only like, this big. I mean, what's the big deal if I want to kill it? It's MY body, after all. If I don't want some parasite feeding off it, I have that right!"
Is she still using that same hair gel ????
If she uses the same hair gel she wouldn't have to worry about abortion and rape.
This ditzy confused woman has no idea of what she speaks.....pathetic. I can never decide whether to feel sorry for them or dispise them. Ex President Carter, Clinton,PIAPS I happily dispise. They are not confused. They are evil. This poor babe doesn't know if she is on horseback or foot. Nor does poor dear Liberal host.
I don't understand what she is trying to say...no brain answers it. Stupid people shouldn't vote...most of hollyweird qualifies under that category.
Don't forget
Bo Derek
Another thing about this show was how it continued to perpetuate a myth that these groups like Declare Yourself, and Rock the Vote are non-partisan, and are only interested in registering people to vote.
I somehow doubt it if they spend much time in rural white communities, or Southern Suburbs, or Evangelical communities, or Nascar events registering voters.
They should just be honest and stop insulting people's intelligence. It should be Declare Yourself for Kerry, and Rock the Democratic Vote.
