As an avid viewer/reader/listener of many news outlets, I believe that the women of Fox News have created a new dynamic in journalism that has affected the political landscape.
Think of it. Before Fox News came along, where could you regulary find a woman providing "fair and balanced" reporting that dynamic engages both sides of a debate, insuring that all points of view get a full hearing? Want to see this from a woman? Well turn off Katie Couric and watch Linda Vester.
Before Fox News, where have we seen women representing the conservative point of view in a balanced debate? The prior standard in a debate show has been a liberal woman arguing with a conservative man, ala Elenor Clift at the McLauglin Group. Want to see women articulating conservative arguments, then tune into Fox and watch Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Michelle Malkin and many others who regularly fill that role.
This is not meant as an advertisement for Fox News, although I realize it's starting to sound like one. The point of this vanity is that I've been wondering recently about the source of Bush's female support this year. Most talking heads are attributing this to the "Security Mom" efffect. But I'm beginning to wonder if the female viewership have found themselves affected by seeing the conservative point of view so effectively represented by their gender.
I've heard others talk about the effect that Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and other talk-radio and new media MEN have had on the electorate, and this is probably true. But most of the voters they persuade, I'd guess, are also men. I think it's time to acknowledge the effect that these and other notable women have had on informing and persuading the electorate, don't you?
Nobody really knows why Bush is getting more of the female vote. Maybe it is just the "Security Mom" effect. But I'd like to believe that the greater cause is the courage, leadership and grace of the many new female voices that have emerged of late.
Now I think it was Jennifer something...
Last time I saw her she was on NBC from IRAQ...and tripping over her tongue every other word.
Was it Jennifer Eccleston? If so, I think she went to MSNBC.
See above....Little Miss Shock and Awe indeed..!

My brothers are both in love with the women of Fox News.
You're right, but with her being married, I even feel guilty fantasizing about her lol....
