This new, poignant Swift Boat ad, begins airing tomorrow. HUMAN EVENTS has obtained the 60-second ad that features brief comments by the wives of former Vietnam-era POWs, expressing their feelings about Kerry’s questionable post-war activities. According to sources near the Swift Boat organization, $1.4 million will be spent to get this most recent message out. The ad will appear nationally on cable, and on broadcast TV in Pennsylvania, New Mexico, and Nevada.

TRANSCRIPT, "Never Forget"
Mary Jane McManus: Three months after we were married, my husband was shot down over Hanoi.

Phyllis Galanti: Paul and I were married in 1963. Two years later he was shot down over North Vietnam.

MCMANUS: All of the prisoners of war in North Vietnam were tortured in order to obtain confessions of atrocities.

Galanti: On the other hand, John Kerry came home and accused all Vietnam veterans of unspeakable horrors.

McManus: John Kerry gave aide and comfort to the enemy by advocating their negotiating points to our government.

Galanti: Why is it relevant? Because John Kerry is asking us to trust him.

McManus: I will never forget John Kerry?s testimony. If we couldn?t trust John Kerry then, how could we possibly trust him now?

Vietnam would have been a WIN except for scumbags like Hanoi John and Jane, Chronkite the Chancer Sore, VVAW, Dan Blather, and a slew of other imbeciles who will roast in Hell for eternity over their role.

I'm not sure of that. I think we were at a huge strategic disadvantage when Kennedy decided to focus the effort entirely on South Vietnam. Ike had tried to warn Kennedy during the transition that defending Laos was the key to securing the rest of Indochina. Once the North Vietnamese had set up supply lines and cross border bases in Laos and Cambodia, they could infiltrate South Vietnam at will, and easily supply the insurgency.

However... I agree that without the antiwar movement we could have concluded an honorable peace with the North Vietnamese years before '73, and -- most importantly -- the Commander-In-Chief would have had the political backing to enforce the agreement.

Even with huge handicaps, Nixon (via Kissinger) was able to secure an agreement that would have left North Vietnamese and Viet Cong forces in the South to wither on the vine. But, of course, those who claimed to be for peace showed their true colors (they were for our enemies and for tyranny) by blocking enforcement of the peace agreements at every turn, and ensuring that Cambodia and South Vietnam where denied the ability to defend themselves. (Kerry even wanted us to abandon -- withdraw forces and aid -- from Thailand as well!)

These bastards and their treachery (or feckless stupidity) infuriates me more, not less, with every passing year.

I don't think they have even brought out the big guns yet.

Everything they have done so far is leading in a certain direction. The last Swift Boat ad will be the biggest hit on John Kerry's presidential hopes.

It's true Kerry's testimony gave aid and comfort to the enemy. But he wouldn't have given that testimony or used those words, knowing what he knows today.

---and what he'll know decisively on November 2nd-3rd.

Terrific! So glad they are showing it in Pennsylvania. We have enough patriotic Vets of many wars here to swing the state for Bush.

I can only imagine the agony that these POW wives went thru, wondering what their husbands were suffering in captivity. And then to hear John Kerry testify that they were war criminals. Horrendous!

Still not as powerful as their first ad, but definitely will cause undecided voters in swings states to pause and think

...

Can Kery be trusted?

I hate to say it, but the average person does not understand that "shot down" means "POW". He will think "shot down" means "dead".

When sKerry first displayed this picture of his "Band of Brothers" wasn't there only ONE that supported him? How much did he pay to get the other two on board?

Someone at work today who's voted RAT, said he'd heard Kerry had been hit hard by the Swiftboat ads and many, many hecklers. He said the MSM is covering up just how bad Kerry's appearances have been. This isn't news to us, but to have a RAT admit it is sweet, indeed.

" This ad is so devastating, hope it is shown not only in the battle ground states but all over the US."

I have heard that the ad will run in three states and nationally on some of the cable networks. I wonder what three states it will run in?
