LOS ANGELES, September 27, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Democratic Presidential candidate, John Kerry, granted an exclusive interview to the national homosexual activist magazine, The Advocate, on September 16.
In the preamble, Advocate writer Chris Bull describes Kerry as "an ardent gay rights supporter." "One of the original cosponsors of legislation banning discrimination based on sexual orientation," he continues, "Kerry has achieved a nearly unblemished voting record on the issue. In 1996 he was the only senator up for re-election to vote against the antigay Defense of Marriage Act. Three years earlier he went before the Senate Armed Services Committee to testify in favor of revoking the ban on gays and lesbians in the military."
"I was the only elected senator up for reelection to oppose the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996," Kerry boasted in the interview. "It was a tough position to take, but I took it because I thought [the bill] was outright gay bashing. My support for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act and civil unions has been complete."
Kerry outlined his support for hate-crimes legislation, similar to Canada's Bill C-250: "I think we can pass" hate crimes legislation, he said.
When asked if he thought the Senate could muster the votes to block an amendment to the constitution to ban homosexual marriage, Kerry said, "I will oppose any constitutional amendment."
"I approve of gay adoption. I approve of gay parenting," he said.
The Democrat presidential candidate described Supreme Court Justice Scalia's dissent in the Lawrence v. Texas case that legalized sodomy for the state as an "extreme, homophobic, mean-spirited dissent."
Kerry criticized President Bush's abstinence message for preventing HIV/AIDS: "The president's HIV/AIDS policy is a cave-in to the right wing. It defies common sense and reason. It's a completely craven posture about how the world works and how life works."

It's "perfectly natural" that these "men" would be Kerry fans.
Kerry just wants his campaign to be embraced by someone... anyone... even if it's a tender embrace from another gay man
You're correct... I won't visit that link.
I've known a few gay/lesbian people. Nice folks, and I pray for their souls.
As long as they keep their immoral and perverted sexual behavior out of my face, I really don't have alot to say about it. That goes for heterosexuals as well. Your private behavior is your private business; and long as doesn't become my business.
I just don't want impressionable children led astray because the fruits want everyone to accept their lifestyles as "normal". There is nothing "normal" about perversion.
A world of transvestite Hitlers
Like all heretics...he ends up promoting butt sex. Pathetic.
It's fortunate that he painted himself orange. Relieves Hibernians and Irish Catholics of the duty of splashing him with the color of traitors to the faith.
For the record, that website is homosexuals celebrating the embracing of their lifestyle by advertisers.
If you do not boycott such corporations, you send a message to them that "it doesn't matter". Television ads with same sex couples have been airing for years. How much does it have to be "in your face" before you tell them to "stop"?
That's it. I'm leaving this thread!
This explains why Hollywood is spending so much money trying to get him elected.
I'd like Drudge to run this, but I know he won't.
Can we get someone else to?
"Hate crimes" laws such as those in Canada and Sweden are used to try and imprison Christian pastors and priests who preach on the "wrong" Scriptures and tell the truth that homosexual activity is a GRAVE SIN!!
Of course, the empty-suit Kerry is a mere puppet of George Soros, and Soros just LOVES to persecute Christians and destroy traditional cultures!
Stop Soros/New World Order religious persecution and cultural destruction! BURY Kerry in the biggest landslide EVER!!!!
Kerry is WRONG for Lutherans and Orthodox Christians, too!!!!
This the same guy who has refused for months now to take questions from any real reporters?
Wow, I wonder how Bill O'Reilly feels that Kerry chose a bunch of homos over him for an interview.
Oh Cripes, so John Kerry doesn't even believe in the First Amendment freedom of speech?????!!!!! Does Kerry say in the article that he dissents from Catholic teaching on the sinfulness of homosexual activity? I don't want to click on the link to the Advocate to find out.
It seems strange that he would do an interview with that magazine. Surely he has the gay vote wrapped up anyway, and he stands to lose a portion of the much larger "straight" vote by promoting the gay agenda.
