I feel a little ashamed to ask for a prayer request as I am not an active member of this board, more of a Lurker? I suppose. Last weekend my wife and I split after 8 years together. She claims that her heart has changed due to me not finding a job in the past 6 months. She says that she still loves me, however, she can't wait forever for me to find a job. I asked her if we could go to counseling and work this out, but she states that her heart won't change on this. I must point out that in the past 2 years we have had to endure many trials. In 2002 we had three children die within the immediate family, and this past August her mother and father were in the process of splitting up. I feel that if I just give her time to think things through and in the meantime find a job and clear out my emotional baggage we can reconcile our relationship. I ask for prayers for the rekindling of our love for each other, and the healing necessary to reconcile with each other and continue our relationship. I don't know if this prayer request is coherent but I am doing the best that I can under the circumstances. I thank you all and God Bless you, the President and the United States.
In God We Trust, HAVE FAITH, DONT GIVE UP, CARRY ON. Prayers said.
It's a privilege to pray.
I pray that the spirit of God will be observable in your circumstance and that the peace of God will umpire in your heart and in hers. Healing can only come to those who look for and accept/receive it.
Try to spend your time in a positive way. If you can't do the work you are trained for, do something else you would enjoy. It beats sitting around the house thinking about your problems. At the very least, try volunteer work, or help an elderly person with chores they cannot do. There are always positive things in life, sometimes you just have to allow them to happen! Get up, get going, and get a positive outlook!
God Bless You, you are in my prayers. I do realize this is a bad time for you, but there are ways to get through it in one peice.
Just a suggestion, maybe get out and go for a long walk or set up some personal goal setting...something like if you are overweight set a goal to loose 5 pounds. If you smoke or Drink quit. If you do not excersize go get some fresh air and get on your feet. But do something that you can take control of and pray for Gods help in gaining control.
Prayers for your family.
You are a lawyer, right?
Volunteer for the Bush campaign - you may meet someone who can offer you a job, and it will also keep you busy!
I do pray for you and your wife.. Whatever your real needs are, God knows...
a friend :)
I actually do have a Job, right now I am working as a lot boy for a Ford Dealership. Sorry to all I should have stated that. She is talking about a career. I have taken on every job that has been offered.
Thanks for the clarification, and if my comments came across as criticism, I apologize. May your fortunes improve.
