Thanks, Mixer!
1) Click on the graphic to open the Calendar. 2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up. 3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit. 4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it. 5) If all else fails or simply if you want me to do this for you send me a FReepmail and I will gladly do it for you. ~Mixer

Great job gail. Did you all see pics of the Cincy rally yesterday...45,000 plus! Makes me proud to be from Ohio!
The only problem....the prosecutor from Cincinnati, who was up for re-election, was recently caught in a "sex scandal" with an employee (and yes, he's a R which means he has to step down...while I'm not condoning what he did...if he was a dem he would have been lauded!). Anyway...it was too late to put someone on the ballot so now its a write in race...meaning ALL ballots have to be manually counted which means Ohio returns may not be reported until the next day. Please...not another nail biter...My nerves can't take it!!!!

Back when Clinton was in office, he went to a Yankee`s baseball game.
Right before the game started, George Stienbrenner came up and whispered something to him, and Clinton said, "I sure would!"
He then proceeded to pick Hillary up, and threw her over the wall onto the field.
Stienbrenner came running back and said, "No, No. I asked if you wanted to throw out the "first PITCH".

Hi Dutchess.
Yes, hubby left for Kentucky Sunday morning.
She's thrilled with the new bed. OTOH hand she was thrilled when she got the antique twin bed that was hubby's as a child but decided she hated the "springs" in it. It replaced the "toddler bed" that used the crib mattress.
Yikes, the child is only 6 and this is the 5th bed she has had. I'm 44 and have had a grand total of 4 in my life. I was 24 before I got a bed different from the one I got when my brother was born when I was 2.....and went back to sleeping on that bed 4 years later when I got divorced.

The pictures of that Ohio rally were AWESOME! Man, can he draw a crowd! You know, that alone has to be very telling....and it was like this in 2000, too. *We* knew from first-hand reports here from Freepers all over the country who went to his rallies that there were always thousands and thousands in the crowds to see him. Gore's rallies didn't have that kind of excitement, and there is no way on God's earth I will EVER believe that Gore won the popular vote - not honestly or legally. He just didn't. There can't be that much difference in the electricity generated in a campaign....and the one who couldn't even draw an enthusiastic crowd *wins* the popular vote???? No way. It's that way with this campaign, too. The only way kerry has a chance is fraud, and that is the only thing that scares me when they start to count the votes.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "restrung". ?????? Believe me, I didn't understand it either.
There are actually cotton ropes on pulley's with weights inside the casings of the windows that allow them to be raised and lowered. It's similar to oldfashioned clotheline cord, in fact that is what we have bought to replace them.
The original windows are still in the house from when it was built in the '40s - nothing wrong with the windows, and they are not drafty, but much of the cording is starting to fray and snap.
In order to properly fix them we need to take down all the molding and take the windows out - that's when I'm going to finish painting them because then I won't have the problem of them sticking as the paint dries!!!.
Unfortunately time and weather have not permitted us to even start that part of the project.
I know, I know - WAAAAAAAAAY TMI!!!!!!!

Good!
I know I tend to get long winded, but I'm trying to curb it under certain circumstances because I've gotten slammed for "TMI" a few times recently. Not by any of my FRiends, but by some I have been on the opposite side in a discussion. It appears my effort to be polite and explain that I must leave, as opposed to just no longer responding, is considered TMI.
Oh well!!!

Hi Billie. Love your pledge graphic, beautiful. I have that same problem with frizz :-( I can't style my hair straight, just don't have the knack with blow dryers and curling irons. When I go to the hair salon, I have them blow my hair out straight, it is fun to have a different hair style for a day.
It is pouring here in N.Y., big frizz day and the satelitte t.v. is whacky....high pitched noises that drive Lucy bonkers...so I turned it off

It appears my effort to be polite and explain that I must leave, as opposed to just no longer responding, is considered TMI. Oh good grief! That's silly, but I trust you don't let it bother you. I find myself just making a post here and there on other threads, without staying around, but certainly don't fault anyone for being considerate enough to say they have to leave.
We appreciate you, Gabz! :) Though I have to admit that I don't always say I have to leave or even if I'll be back when I do leave for a bit. :(

I don't remember now if the flag was there already or not.
I usually let my hair dry naturally, and THEN use the curling iron to iron out the kinks. :)

LOL!!!!!!!!
I'm not talking about threads like this - this is a friendly thread, folks sort of mosey in and mosey out when they can.
It just so happened that a rather heated discussion was going on but the yung'un wanted her story book, and with hubby out of town, I'm in charge of both morning and evening, and was excusing myself from the discussion for the night, as opposed to just disappearing.
The only thing that frosted me, was the other person didn't bother with the points I made in response to him/her, just about my excusing myself. Needless to say, I ignored it the next morning!

I had no clue what hubby was talking about with the windows the first time he mentioned it - I learned real fast the first time one of those frayed cords snapped and the window came down on me!!!!!
The superstitions are not in full gear this week, they usually only come into play when he goes to Atlanta, he's in Kentucky this week!!!!
To be perfectly honest, a nostalgic part of me is sad about Dan Rather being taken down, as have been other icons of the MSM. I grew up in NYC and Rather was a staple at our dinner table every night. I remember Geraldo Rivera when he took down the NYC mental health department over some of the "institutions." And I remember thinking of Barbara Walters as a role model for women looking to go into boradcast journalism (which I was as a young woman)
Now look at my 3 icons................
I'm not saying none of them deserve the ridicule being heaped upon them, but there is that teensy weensy part of me............
