I just got back from a trout fishing trip with some friends. Somehow Kerry came up, and I mentioned the fact that the War Remnants Museum in Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City has a photograph of John Kerry honoring him as a NORTH Vietnam war hero, and that this made Mr. Kerry a traitor to his country.
A friend of a friend who was fishing with us WENT OUT OF HIS MIND. He said it was a lie, and the the Bushes were this and that and the other thing. I offered to give him my copy of "Unfit for Command" and he said there was nothing but lies in it, even though he has never seen it.
It was pretty incredible. There are some deeply disturbed Liberals out there right now, and like all people who wear "peace" on their sleeves like "the religion of peace," I fear violence when John Kerry suffers a humiliating defeat this November.
If it's not close, they can't cheat, but I am betting that soon you won't be able to tell the difference between a Liberal and an Islamofascist.
Sorry for the vanity, but this encounter really bothered me.
I believe you are right. If political correctness is not stopped and reversed, the America I know and love, will cease to exist. The Democratic party represents all that is changing this country for the worse. Whatever happened to free speech?
I get the feeling on long Island that the conservative party is only there for some benefit of the incumbent party,be it republican or demorat. Do you see it that way?
Thank you. My family attended an all day affair in my hometown yesterday welcoming our troops home, and saying goodbye to those who are leaving. The pride that shown in their faces as we threw confetti and screamed thank you at them as they passed us, is something I shall never forget.God bless our troops. And God Bless President Bush.

My original observations were in response to e pluribus unum's question, which as far as I can see was not about moslems.
I appreciate your attempts to come to grips with Islamism.
Since many moslems do not go about trying to kill infidels, it may be worth asking why some do and some don't.
An understanding at the individual level of the behavior and attitude of moslems, just as those of domestic Bush-haters might, mutatis mutandis, be worth your consideration.
Then again, you sound like you're really not that interested .
I can relate. It's probably more like 99% for me. The one person who shared my political ideology at my job, retired in July. I miss him and our conversations so much.
I was 48 years old when 911 happend. I knew zero about the muslim faith, as I am a Baptist. I do not care to know anything about a religion that keeps it's women in bondage. Where are the feminist of america today? Are they sitting prettily in their glass and ivory towers, sneering down at the muslim women's plight? Have they grown so soft in a country surrouned by their opulence they no longer can hear the screams of injustice. Where is the A.C.L.U.? They profess to care so damned much about the rights of others. Hell, they had a cross removed from a city sign. Why aren't there protest throughout the world calling for this horrific terrorism against women to be stopped?.
I guess I have been lucky.
I drive around the city of Buffalo with a huge Bush Cheney sign on the back of my van.
I've had a few confrontations, but I see the anger and venom on a regular basis.
Everyone that knows me and some that don't know me personally,
know my politics and religion. I guess I'm pretty bold. : )

Smiling, good for you, Mayor. I have a Bush/Cheney '04 bumper sticker on my car....never have any problems. Have to get my lawn sign. It is the conversations at work that I have a problem with, these people actually think the only source of honest news is the BBC and the NY Times, I kid you not!
I am the only one in my neighborhood with a yard sign hehe!
In a couple weeks my front yard will be full.
5 weeks and counting, it will get busy round here with some local races.

You're welcome. It's the least my family and I can do for those who fight and die to keep us safe and free. Never again should we allow the men and women in uniform to be treated as they were during and after the Vietnam war. I see Kerry trying to do the same thing today he did 30 years ago, and it makes me angry enough to spit, but on him this time. How can a man who wants to be President, treat our military so callously? What military would want him to be Commander in Chief?

Just back from the Marina del Rey shopping center. Eight cars with Bush stickers were "keyed" by a young man with long hair and a nose ring in full view of about 80 on-lookers who cheered him on.
Luckily, my car was devoid of any stickers.
If I was fishing with you and you pushed him in I would swear to authorities he fell in. Damn I love a good fishing trip!!
I hope your questions are rhetorical, as I have no way to answer for these people you mention. As far as Islam is concerned I know as much as I need to know, which is more than I ever wanted to know.
He knows things are not going well for Kerry. And Wednesday last week he asked me if Bush got re-elected, how long did I think he would live?
I just looked at him and said he had better serve 4 years. Anything less would be more trouble than he wanted to deal with.
