Thought a thread in Breaking News for the weekend covering Hurricane Jeanne would be a good thing. Post your link, pics, updates and freeper check-in's here
35-45 was sustained..definitely higher gusts...and a little higher than that if the center of circulation passes to your south which isnt expected at this time.....if that were to happen and you get the northern section i could see 40-50 sustained with gusts to 75.
I haven't been down in more than 10 years, but I know exactly what you are saying. so far so good with all my friends and family on both coasts - I don't know how they are going to make out on the east coast this time around.
While everyone is online and checking the hurricane, take time to read this: http://www.jewishworldreview.com/cols/thomas092104.asp
I'm in North Lauderdale and it is actually not too bad here. About the same wind velocity you posted. The rain is COLD. I stepped outside and it is surprising how cold that rain is.
I have a feeling it won't get much higher here in Lauderdale than about 75 MPH. Now up in Jupiter/Stuart, that's another story.
Dania sounds familiar to me. I remember losing money there. It was either a dog track or JaiLai. I forget. Nice area though. Stay safe.
Good luck..........stay safe.

Think I'll pass on that site -- read the stuff below the picture: the guy's in the can for Kerry, anti-Bush, pro-envirowacko. Maybe if we're lucky, the webcam will be washed away.

Thanks for all the good wishes. I check in again now and then.
You can watch this live now on Melbourne Nexrad. Think it will come in about Vero, out about Tampa/Hudson. Much like Jeanne.
I didn't notice that. Just was looking at the cam.
Oops - you're right - I was just heading out the door and not thinking that DSL and phone power are equivalent - still any routers/firewalls wiil be down with no power - Also - curiously the DSL modems I've seen had power packs - you still get service but just no blinking lights when the power is out?
Thanks! ;-)
I'm hoping we'll be OK. Good Luck.
My baby Brother (37) lives in Orlando. Is this his third or fourth hit? So far he's been alright.
