Today was a good day... LIB told me she is voting for BUSH... (Vanity)
Bosshog

I think that the libbies are finally getting it. Tonight, I was checking into a Holiday Inn... St. Louis MO.

While I was checking in, a lady was working with the front desk to get her laptop to work with the hotel's WI-FI internet connection. As I stay in this particular hotel about 3-4 nights per week and do a great deal of I'net work I offered to help.

Fast forward, I couldn't get her WIN98 system to link . . oh well. But during the 15 minutes I was working on her laptop we had a very interesting conversation.

She was from CA (MEGA LIBERAL ALERT) and told me that she worked in the health care industry... (MAJOR, MAJOR, MAJOR MEGA LIBERAL ALERT). While I was playing with control panel settings, she offered:

"I'm a registered Demmie (I was tempted to save FreeRepublic as a favorite on her machine), but today, I've decided to vote for GWB...

"The speech by Priminister Allawi was very moving, but more importantly, I realized today that if Kerry gets elected, we are sending our troops the wrong message, the people of Iraq the wrong message, the terrorists the wrong message, and the rest of the world the wrong message..."

I damn near did a ctrl-alt-delelte with her machine... I was trying not to be gleeful. I only offered, "Well Kerry could probably be truthfully accused of changing his position on Iraq a few times.... "

She laughed, "the world doesn't deserve that whimp..."

My Freeper friends, it was a good day.... I believe that the libbies are starting to "get it"...

Good. Somebody else from the Dems who's backing Zell Miller (D-GA).

I own a small business and several Lib customers have said they cannot bring themselves to vote for Kerry and that President Bush has been a gentleman throughout hundreds of unbelievable personal attacks

From previous experience, she probably has release one of Win98. It will not do wireless networking. Version 2 does.

My NY liberal contacts (x2) told me tonight that Kerry is a "weak candidate" and they expect him to lose. They are frustrated that they nominated such a "weak candidate". This is their actual description.

Friend of mine told me she met a 44 year old woman whose husband is a Vietnam vet. She told my friend she has never voted in her life. But she registered this time just so she can vote for President Bush (and presumably against Kerry.)

My neighbor told me that a friend of his told him that his wife has never voted before in her life... but she is voting for Bush.

W stands for women! K stands for ketchup?

My 72 year old mom, who is as liberal as they come, but never voted in her life, just registered to vote so she could vote for Bush.

She says, she used to figure, what did one vote matter?

But after the 2000 election she realized that one vote does matter.

She can't stand Kerry. The thing about Alawi today make her sick to her stomach.

I hope your experience is pervasive in the mainstream. I was with a group of 6-7 not too long ago on break during a seminar. Someone simply 'launched' into their hate of Bush and his policies, and all of these seemingly reasonable people began to chime in. I was too astounded to speak, but it confirmed my belief that many people hate W and cling to the mantra, 'anyone but Bush.'

My Freeper friends, it was a good day.... I believe that the libbies are starting to "get it"...

A story well told and the moral is

Treat these Dems like President Reagan treated them.

Give them reasons to vote for President Bush and let them take their first baby steps.

One of my entertainmnet industry lib friends last week said "I don't blame anybody for voting against Kerry.... Hes pathetic...."

Not an endorsement of Bush, but it'll do.

I need a source for non-biased non-smartass level headed evaluation of Kerry's performance in the senate. I'm running into a number of liberals that just need the slightest push to put them into th "W" column.

While it's fun to poke fun at sKerry, some libs would be offended and discard the information as biased if it came from a site like crushkerry.com

Best I've seen so far is http://www.archive-news.net/Kerry/JK_timeline.html

Anymore serious level headed trustworth sites? They're not ready for Free Republic.

She was from CA (MEGA LIBERAL ALERT)

Thanks for that.

I hate to tell you but the vast numbers of people in California who have been electing lots of liberals, are not necessarily themselves extremely liberal. The vast majority are mostly clueless. California has a reputation for nutty liberal LEGISLATORS doing the nuttiest things. However, people don't vote for them in large numbers because of liberal INTENSITY, they vote for the Dems out of PC cluelessness.

The point I'm trying to make is that if you met someone form California out of the blue, the odds favor them to be a Democrat by a few percentage points, but they probably are borderline Dems at best, and more likely than not just duped by their friends and what they read in the news.

A few months before George Bush got creamed in California in 2000, 61% of Californians voted to declare that marriage is between one man and one woman. An intensly liberal voter base wouldn't do that.

I am always amazed at how liberal the medical field is portrayed. Back when I worked in medicine, the dr's hated taking patients on any form of public assistance. If you went into the ER on public assistance, they would try to turn you away to your "primary care physician." If the patient persisted, the dr's grumbled about having to treat them.
