LONDON - Man’s best friend could also be a lifesaver in the fight against cancer. Scientists said on Friday dogs can be used to detect bladder cancer by smelling urine.

I always wondered if they could smell blood diseases. Or viruses. What a difference dogs can make. I like dogs a lot but also would like to send about 1,000,000 of them over to Bad Guy land and let them get real hungry and let them loose in the cave areas.

I've seen this demonstrated on The Learning Channel. They are training dogs to smell skin cancer.

That's a really awful job for mans best friend! ;-) To paraphrase Adam Carolla, to dogs, it probably smells like pizza, given the stuff they seem to enjoy sniffing.
He also had a great plan to train dogs to sniff out Arabs at the Mexican border, to prevent terrorists from sneaking in as Mexican laborers. It soon expanded to training sharks (with their 'smell a drop of blood in the ocean' capabilities) to do the same in the oceans...
Adam has some very non-PC ideas...
For those who don't know him, Carolla is one of the creators of Crank Yankers, and a former host of The Man Show.
